When we reviewed the H50 Pro vacuum cleaner this June, we were very impressed, but a competing robot with a self-cleaning station could then be purchased for under 10 thousand Czech crowns, and unfortunately, such an affordable model from Xiaomi was not available. Now, however, the situation is different: you can buy the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro on Alza for 9,719 CZK, which is 2,280 CZK less than it cost at its spring launch. It boasts solid suction power and extendable arms, which are not very common in this price range.

Quick summary:
✅ It’s worth it if your current robot leaves dust along skirting boards and in corners, and you want a station that washes and dries the mops itself.
⚠️ Be aware that a full charge takes 6 hours and the mops are washed only with cold water.
💡 For 9,719 CZK, you get extendable arms, which until recently were mainly found on machines costing 25 thousand and more.

How much can you save on the H50 Pro?

Xiaomi launched the H50 Pro on the Czech market this spring for 11,999 CZK. Alza is now offering it for 9,719 CZK, which is almost a fifth cheaper. However, the price didn’t drop overnight. The HlídačShopů widget on the product page calculates the lowest price before the promotion as 10,799 CZK, so the actual discount compared to recent weeks is 1,080 CZK, roughly 10%.

It should be added that Alza is not the cheapest. According to the Heureka comparison site, some smaller retailers offer it for even under 8 thousand CZK. Those who are chasing every crown and don’t mind shopping at a less known store will save even more there.

Arms help clean dust near skirting boards

The main reason to choose the H50 Pro is hidden on its underside. Both the side brush and one of the mopping pads sit on arms that automatically extend towards an obstacle when near a wall or furniture. The manufacturer states zero distance from edges and 68% greater mop reach than older generations. Our colleague Jakub Kárník in his review confirmed that the strip of dust along skirting boards, which he previously had to clean manually, disappeared. The mop also extends under furniture, where a gap of at least 2.8 cm in height is sufficient.

According to our test, the suction power of 15,000 Pa handles crumbs, sand from shoes, and fine dust from gaps between floorboards, on low-pile carpets, and even matted hair. The main brush is complemented by Y-shaped comb teeth to prevent tangling. In a household with a long-haired partner, Jakub only had to untangle them once during the entire testing period.

A station you barely have to care for

Mopping is handled by a pair of rotating pads that spin at 180 revolutions per minute. On carpets, the robot lifts them by 10 mm and simultaneously increases suction; the pads also go up on the way to the station to avoid dragging a dirty streak. In our test, common stains disappeared in one pass, while dried-on residue required two.

The station then washes the mops and dries them with hot air within two hours. According to Xiaomi, the four-liter clean water tank is sufficient for 240 m², and dust goes into a bag designed to last up to 75 days. The manufacturer’s estimate is realistic based on our experience: after a month of operation, the bag was barely half full.

How did the H50 Pro fare in our review?

After several weeks of testing, we gave the vacuum cleaner an 85% rating. In addition to the arms and suction, we praised its quiet operation; during mopping itself, the noise level stays at 57 dB, so the robot can clean even in a room where you are watching TV. The laser navigation had the map ready during the first cleaning, and the Xiaomi Home app offers everything essential, from forbidden zones to room-by-room scheduling.

Obstacles are monitored by structured light with a 129° field of view. The robot reliably navigated around shoes, chair legs, and even a dog bowl, but it lacks an AI camera that could recognize specific objects. A thin cable lying loosely on the floor once got tangled in the brush, so it’s worth quickly checking the floor before cleaning.

When to opt for something else?

The biggest weakness is the battery. The 5,200 mAh capacity is sufficient for 120 to 150 minutes of cleaning, but a full charge takes 6 hours. If the robot has to recharge mid-way in a large house, cleaning can stretch to half a day. For carpets with pile over 8 mm, lifting the mops is no longer sufficient, and due to the laser turret, the robot measures 9.3 cm in height, so it won’t fit under very low furniture.

And if corners aren’t a priority for you, the basic model is also worth a look. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 without extendable arms costs 6,999 CZK on Alza, offers weaker suction at 10,000 Pa, but has the same laser navigation and self-cleaning station.

Who is it worth it for now?

In his H50 Pro review, Jakub recommended it to apartment owners of roughly up to 80 m² who don’t want to spend more than 12 thousand on robotic cleaning. Now the bar is a bit lower: for 9,719 CZK, you get a machine that vacuums and mops right up to the skirting boards and takes care of the mops itself. Owners of large houses and thick carpets should look elsewhere; for everyone else, I would recommend it at this price with a clear conscience.

Do you still manually clean corners and skirting boards after your robot vacuum?
