We have already written several times about the upcoming Xiaomi 17T series based on leaks from abroad. A key piece of the puzzle, the global sales launch date, was added a few days ago by a renowned insider, according to whom both models will be revealed to the world as early as May 28. The editorial team of Svět Androida has now managed to confirm this information for our market as well, thanks to materials leaked from one of the domestic retailers. In addition to the arrival date on store shelves, we also know about attractive bonuses for a review.

The retailer has not yet provided specific Czech prices, but given the previously leaked European price tag of approximately 749 euros for the basic 17T and 999 euros for the 17T Pro, recommended prices around 18,000 and 25,000 CZK can be expected. However, thanks to introductory discounts, which according to our findings should range around 3,000 to 3,500 CZK, the phones will be available cheaper from the start.

Free tablet with the base model, a scooter straight with the Pro model

Xiaomi traditionally intends to offer customers nice gifts for writing a review. And it’s no small matter – in both cases, the bonuses are quite appealing.

With the basic Xiaomi 17T model, a REDMI Pad 2 tablet with a 9.7″ display and 128GB storage will be available, valued at around 4,499 CZK. Those who pay extra for the Pro variant will receive an Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Lite (2nd generation) electric scooter for their review, valued at 6,999 CZK. In the case of Xiaomi 17T Pro, there will also be an option to use a trade-in bonus of 1,000 CZK.

The review will need to be published on the retailer’s e-shop, a registration form with IMEI and invoice filled out, and approval awaited, which will take place no earlier than 14 days after registration is completed. In short – it’s a classic mechanism that Xiaomi uses for most of its flagship launches.

Xiaomi 17T: compact flagship with Dimensity 8500-Ultra

Let’s briefly recall what both phones are expected to offer according to earlier leaks. The basic Xiaomi 17T is said to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra, complemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The front will be dominated by a 6.59″ AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, suitable for users who prefer more compact phones.

The triple rear camera setup includes a 50Mpx Light Fusion 800 main sensor, a 50Mpx telephoto lens with 5× optical zoom, and a 12Mpx ultrawide lens. A 32Mpx camera handles selfies. The battery has a capacity of 6,500 mAh and charges at 67 W. The construction is expected to be plastic, with Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and Android 16 with HyperOS overlay available.

Xiaomi 17T Pro: larger body, more powerful chip, and 7000mAh battery

The higher-end Xiaomi 17T Pro goes a significant step further. Instead of Dimensity 8500-Ultra, it will get the more powerful Dimensity 9500, the display will grow to 6.83″ OLED, and the refresh rate will increase to 144 Hz. The battery offers a capacity of 7,000 mAh, which can be charged 100W wired or 50W wirelessly. The construction in this case is metal, and the phone also supports the latest Wi-Fi 7.

The camera setup remains essentially the same as the base model, but the main sensor gets an upgrade to 50Mpx Light Fusion 950. Both models will be released in three color variants – blue, black, and purple.

Will you get one of the Xiaomi 17T series models?
