Extra cheap Samsung on the horizon! We know what the Galaxy A07 will look like

While Samsung has not yet officially unveiled its upcoming entry-level model Galaxy A07, thanks to its appearance in the Google Play Console database, we already know its key specifications and design. The new device, which should replace last year’s Galaxy A06 model, is likely to be introduced as early as August, if the manufacturer adheres to its usual annual portfolio refresh cycle.

Known Specifications: MediaTek and HD+ Display

According to data from Google Play Console, the Galaxy A07 will feature a display with HD+ resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels and a typical teardrop notch for the front camera. Inside the phone, we will find a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, known by the designation MT6789V/DC, and 6 GB of RAM.

The device will run on Android 15, which is on one hand expected given the launch date, but on the other hand a bit disappointing, as we would expect the latest generation of the operating system for a new model in summer 2025. It will likely be Android with the One UI 7.0 overlay.

New Camera Design

Regarding the design, Samsung is abandoning separate circles for individual cameras in the new generation of entry-level A-series models and switching to an oval camera module, into which both sensors along with LED illumination are set. This design element has already appeared on some other Samsung lower and mid-range models, so the look is somewhat diverging again, but it will likely unify again with the Galaxy S26 series.

According to the published information, the phone will be equipped with a dual camera and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A06. More detailed camera specifications have not yet been revealed.

Galaxy M07: A Twin Under a Different Name?

Interestingly, in addition to the Galaxy A07 model (with the designation SM-A075F), a reference to the SM-M075F model also appeared in the Google Play Console database. This suggests that Samsung is once again preparing a parallel release of A and M models with the same specifications but different designations for various markets. The Galaxy M07 will thus likely be just a rebranded version of the A07, possibly with minor differences in features.

This approach is nothing new for Samsung – the company has long practiced the strategy of releasing similar devices under different designations for various distribution channels or regions.

When Can We Expect the Introduction?

Given that the phone has already appeared in the Google Play Console database and its support pages are active in some regions (e.g., India), we can expect an official introduction within the coming weeks. Samsung usually introduces its entry-level A-series models in August, so it is likely that the Galaxy A07 will follow the same schedule.

We do not yet have official information on other specifications, such as battery capacity, camera performance, or price. However, if Samsung maintains a similar pricing policy to its predecessor, the Galaxy A07 could fall into the price category around 4,000 CZK.
