Forget expensive flagships! POCO F8 Ultra will offer top-tier performance under 20 thousand

Xiaomi is preparing another wave of powerful phones under the Poco brand, which will offer flagship hardware at a significantly lower price than premium competitors. The Poco F8 Ultra, the expected global version of the Chinese Redmi K90 Pro Max, has just appeared for the first time in the Geekbench benchmark database, confirming its specifications.

What Geekbench Revealed

In the Geekbench 6 database, the Poco F8 Ultra (model designation 25102PCBEG) appeared with results of 3,327 points in the single-core test and 9,872 points in the multi-core test. These are solid values that confirm the powerful hardware inside.

Details from the benchmark reveal the motherboard’s codename “canoe” and processor clock speeds – 4.61 GHz for two performance cores and 3.63 GHz for the remaining six cores. This unambiguously identifies the chipset as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, currently Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile processor.

A key piece of information from the benchmark concerns the operating memory. The Poco F8 Ultra was tested with 16 GB RAM. This is an important finding, as recent leaks suggest that the cheaper Poco F8 Pro model will be limited to a maximum of 12 GB of RAM in the global market and will also offer a slightly weaker, yet still very powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Results Are Not Yet Final

Although the achieved results are solid, they are not the highest values we have seen for devices with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. However, this is common for initial benchmark entries before official release. Xiaomi still has work ahead on software optimization of the system.

Users can expect that the final version of the Poco F8 Ultra intended for the global market will achieve higher results after optimization is complete. Typically, performance improves by single digits to low double digits in percentage between initial leaks and the final product.

When Will It Hit the Market

The Poco F8 Ultra is the expected global version of the Redmi K90 Pro Max, which was recently introduced in China. Given that the device is appearing in benchmark databases, we can expect an official global launch within a few weeks to months.

Poco traditionally offers flagship hardware at significantly lower prices than Samsung, Google, or Apple. If the Poco F8 Ultra follows this trend, it should be priced under 20 thousand Czech crowns, making it one of the most affordable ways to get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
