An 85-inch Mini LED TV comfortably exceeded sixty thousand recently, but today the market is a bit different. You can get the TCL 85C7 with AlzaPlus+ membership for 39,992 CZK. Membership costs 59 CZK per month and you can cancel it after purchase, so the real saving compared to the standard price of 49,990 CZK is 10 thousand. From the original launch price of 62,990 CZK, this is a drop of 23 thousand — and for an 85″ panel with the parameters that the C7K offers, it’s a very aggressive price.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if you want a giant diagonal with premium Mini LED features — 1,568 dimming zones, 3,000 nits brightness, and B&O sound with a subwoofer. It’s an excellent combination for movies, sports, and gaming on PS5 or Xbox Series X.
⚠️ Consider that TCL only uses Wi-Fi 5 (not Wi-Fi 6) and has only one USB port. For an 85″ TV, you also need enough space, and I would recommend leaving the installation to a professional (Alza offers this service).

Why the C7K makes sense

The main weapon is 1,568 dimming zones. The combination with brightness up to 3,000 nits (top-tier for this category) and a Quantum Dot layer for an extended color gamut makes the C7K one of the best-equipped Mini LED TVs on the market.

For gamers, there’s full next-gen equipment — 4× HDMI 2.1 with 4K/120 Hz, 144Hz gaming mode, FreeSync Premium Pro, VRR, ALLM, and even a 288Hz Game Accelerator at FHD for PC players. Game Master mode adds a game bar for quick settings adjustments.

What sets the C7K apart from most competitors in the same price range — Bang & Olufsen tuned sound with a built-in subwoofer and a total output of 60 W. An Alza reviewer describes it simply: “better than a cheap soundbar, but it’s certainly not a cinema.” For regular viewing without investing in external audio, however, it’s significantly better than average integrated speakers.

What to expect

A few minor reservations. The C7K uses only Wi-Fi 5, not Wi-Fi 6, which is a minor lag in this price category in 2025. This doesn’t matter for Netflix or YouTube, but if you have fast home networks, gigabit Ethernet is a better choice here. Only one USB port is another limitation — it’s enough for connecting a flash drive or external hard drive, but if you want to combine more devices, you’ll need a USB hub.
