Tech giant Google surprised Czech users by launching its premium subscription Google AI Ultra, which was previously only available in the USA and a few other countries. Now, Czech users can also subscribe to the best that Google offers in the field of artificial intelligence – but at a price that will likely take your breath away. However, if you are a professional content creator or simply must have the best regardless of the cost, this news might be interesting for you.

How astronomical is the price of Google AI Ultra?

Let’s be frank – Google AI Ultra is not for ordinary mortals. The standard price in the Czech Republic is 6,890 CZK per month, which represents an annual cost of almost 83,000 CZK. Google is currently offering an introductory promotion – for the first three months, you can use the service at half price, i.e., 3,450 CZK per month, but it is still a significant amount of money.

The company also renamed its previous Google AI Premium subscription to Google AI Pro, which remains a more affordable option at 550 CZK per month. To try this tier, Google offers the first two months for 275 CZK.

What do you get with Google AI Ultra?

For the mentioned amount, you get access to the best that Google offers in the field of artificial intelligence. The core is Gemini 2.5 Pro with Deep Think mode, which represents Google’s most advanced AI reasoning model. This should be available “in the coming weeks” after additional security checks.

Key components of the subscription include:

• Highest limits for various features and models including Gemini 2.5 Flash, 2.5 Pro, Deep Research, and Audio Overviews
• Access to Veo 3 – Google’s most advanced video generation tool
• Flow – an AI filmmaking tool with access to Veo 3 and premium features such as generating video from ingredients or text
• Whisk – a tool for quickly animating images
• 12,500 AI credits per month for Flow and Whisk services
• NotebookLM with the highest limits and most advanced models (will be available later this year)
• Gemini in Gmail, Docs, and other Google applications
• Project Mariner – a research prototype that can handle up to 10 tasks simultaneously (from research to reservations)
• YouTube Premium – individual plan for ad-free viewing
• 30 TB storage for Google Photos, Drive, and Gmail

Who needs Google AI Ultra?

Google itself describes its highest tier as a “VIP ticket” to the world of AI. The target audience is professional creators – filmmakers, developers, creative professionals, and anyone who “demands absolutely the best from Google AI with the highest level of access.” For a regular user who just wants to occasionally generate an image or ask a few questions to an AI assistant, such an investment does not make sense.

Google AI Pro as a more reasonable alternative

For most users who want to use advanced AI features from Google, Google AI Pro (formerly AI Premium) at 549 CZK per month will be a sufficient solution. This plan includes:

• Extended access to Gemini 2.5 and other features in the Gemini app
• Flow with limited access (100 generations per month)
• 1,000 AI credits per month for Flow and Whisk services
• NotebookLM with 5× more audio overviews (20 daily compared to 3 for the free version)
• Gemini in Gmail, Docs, Slides and other applications
• 2 TB Google One storage

Will Google AI Ultra be successful in Czechia?

Given the astronomical price, it’s difficult to imagine a mass adoption of Google AI Ultra in our market. The service is clearly aimed at a very narrow group of professionals and businesses who can fully utilize all the offered possibilities and for whom the return on investment is clearly measurable.

For comparison, competing services like ChatGPT Plus from OpenAI cost approximately 450 CZK per month (the highest Pro tier then approximately 5,600 CZK), while Anthropic’s highest Claude Max tier starts at 2,300 CZK per month. Google has thus set the bar significantly higher than the competition.
