Google introduced a new Stadium! No, it's not a successor to Stadia, but a soccer ball

When you don’t have anything new to announce, you can always sell a T-shirt. Or a ball. Google chose the latter option and slipped the Google Stadium soccer ball into its accessories store. It tastefully rides the wave of the FIFA World Cup, which starts today.

A nice piece with a logo

Visually, it’s no surprise. The ball features a classic stitched pattern, with the Google logo in its typical colors on one panel and an embroidered patch with the text „’26” next to it. It costs $45, and here comes the aforementioned ‘but’ — even if you add it to your cart right away, shipping is scheduled for the end of the month. The final is played on July 19th, so it will arrive at your door sometime in the middle of the championship. Those who live near Google’s brick-and-mortar stores in New York or California might get lucky sooner.

Moreover, the ball isn’t the only piece of football merchandise. Google recently released a Chrome Dino FC figurine in the style of the well-known pixel dinosaur from the 404 error page, but it’s only available in Britain for 30 pounds, as are jerseys and scarves. However, something else is more important for us: the entire collection remains limited to the American and British markets. Czech fans will thus have to settle for admiring it from afar.
