Google Keep will get a practical AI feature, with which you will no longer have to think about note titles

The Google Keep application will receive an interesting new feature in the near future. Google is testing a function that will generate a suitable title using artificial intelligence for your notes. The information was brought by the editorial team of Android Authority, which discovered the new option during the analysis of the application’s code.

The button is already visible, but not yet functional

The new feature was found in version 5.25.382.03.90 of the Google Keep application. In the place where you normally enter the note title, a special button with an icon similar to Gboard tools appears. Although Android Authority managed to invoke it, nothing happens after clicking on it – the feature is not yet active.

According to available information, AI should analyze the content of the note and suggest a descriptive title. This could significantly simplify the organization of notes, especially when you have a large number of them. Meaningful titles would also improve searching using semantic terms.

Directly on the device, or on a remote server?

It is not clear whether the new feature will work locally on devices with Gemini Nano support, or if it will require an internet connection. A similar title generation feature already works in the Google Photos application, where AI creates titles for your memories.

Google has not yet announced when the feature will be officially available. Given that it is a relatively simple text function, it is possible that it will be available for free to all users relatively soon.
