Google Pixel 10a officially unveiled! It arrived in the Czech Republic with an anticipated new feature, we know the prices Home News Google Pixel 10a comes with a flat design without a protruding camera module Satellite SOS works in the Czech Republic and in Czech, for 13,290 CZK you won't find it with the competition Seven years of system updates and the Tensor G4 chipset make the Pixel 10a a phone designed to last half a decade Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 18. 2. 2026 09:30 Advertisement Google has just unveiled the Pixel 10a, the latest addition to the family of affordable Pixels. The price tag of 13,290 CZK for the 128GB variant and 15,690 CZK for the 256GB model is not a surprise in itself – Google plays consistently in this segment. What might surprise many is the list of what you get for that money this time. And even in the Czech Republic. No more camera bump on the back Satellite SOS in Czech. Yes, in the Czech Republic. Tensor G4 and Gemini Camera: 48 MPx, no telephoto lens, but new AI tools Android 16 and seven years of updates Where and for how much No more camera bump on the back The most visible change this year is clear. For the first time in the A-series history, the Pixel 10a comes with a flat back – the camera has merged with the rear side and creates no protrusion. This means the phone lies stably on a table and doesn’t collect dust under the module. The matte finish of the back is complemented by a satin aluminum frame made from 100% recycled aluminum. The new device is available in four colors: Lavender, Berry, Fog, and Obsidian. Durability is again higher this year than its predecessor. Google has equipped the display with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, IP68 certification for water and dust protection, and combined it all with the idea of easy repairability. The Actua display measures six point three inches, which according to Google is 11% brighter than the Pixel 9a – in practice, this means better readability in direct sunlight (up to 3000 nits peak), but let’s not expect any revolution in terms of higher resolution here, it remains Full HD+, and the refresh rate is, of course, 120 Hz. Satellite SOS in Czech. Yes, in the Czech Republic. One feature deserves special attention. Satellite SOS – the ability to call for help even without a mobile network signal or Wi-Fi – is coming to the A-series for the very first time. And what’s important for Czech readers: the Czech Republic is on the list of supported countries, including Czech language support. Just point the phone in the right direction, the Pixel connects to a satellite and sends an emergency call. The feature is free for the first two years. Finally, we get a taste of features that have been available in the USA for years, and it’s definitely a positive sign that other cool features will eventually follow. Tensor G4 and Gemini Under the hood, the Tensor G4 chipset works with 8 GB of RAM. Google didn’t choose it because it’s the most powerful processor on the market – benchmark tables will confirm that. Moreover, it’s the same chip that powers the Pixel 9 (and also the 9a), so for the first time in the history of its own chips, Google opted for savings and and didn’t use its most current piece of silicon in the “A-series”. Tensor is designed primarily for efficient execution of AI functions directly on the device, without the need to send everything to the cloud. And for everyday use, it’s still perfectly sufficient. Gemini is fully present on the Pixel 10a. Gemini Live enables natural voice conversation with the assistant, including screen sharing or camera feed. A practical example: you show the assistant a stubborn bicycle chain and ask how to adjust it. Or you’re standing in a bookstore and want recommendations. These are scenarios where Gemini Live makes sense. Camera: 48 MPx, no telephoto lens, but new AI tools The Pixel 10a camera is again composed of two sensors: a 48MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide lens. You won’t find a telephoto lens here – that’s a clear compromise compared to more expensive models, and even some competitors. This time, the new features are more software-based. Camera Coach uses Gemini models to guide you in real-time to a better compositional shot – suitable for beginners who are unsure how to take photos. Auto Best Take, with a single press of the shutter, automatically selects the best expression of each person photographed. Both features are coming to the A-series for the first time. Night and macro are covered by the proven features Night Sight and Macro Focus. Photo editing then takes place via Google Photos, where you simply describe what you want to change by voice or text – remove a distracting element, lighten the background, or add an effect. Android 16 and seven years of updates The Pixel 10a launches directly with Android 16 and the new Material 3 Expressive visual style – new wallpaper effects, redesigned app interfaces, modernized notification panel. And what’s more important for long-term owners: 7 years of system updates, security patches, and Pixel Drop updates. This means that a phone bought today will receive support until 2033. In the mid-range segment, this is still an exception, not the rule. Where and for how much The Pixel 10a is available for pre-order starting March 5th. In the Czech Republic, you can get it from all major retailers – Alza, Datart, Mobil Pohotovost, O2, Smarty CZ, T-Mobile, Vodafone, and directly through the Google Store. Prices are clear: 13,290 CZK for the 128GB and 15,690 CZK for the 256GB variant. Covers are available in all four color options of the phone, and Google is also releasing Pixel Buds 2a in two new colors, Berry and Fog. What do you think of the new Google Pixel 10a?
