Snack crumbs, sand brought in from shoes, dog hair on the seats – a car’s interior usually suffers more than a living room, and a classic home vacuum cleaner simply won’t reach into the crevices between seats. The new Mijia Car Vacuum Cleaner, a compact handheld vacuum cleaner that fits in the palm of your hand and, according to Xiaomi, can handle suction up to 23,000 Pa, targets exactly this gap.

23,000 Pa Suction and a Motor with 100,000 RPM

At the heart of the new product is an improved brushless motor, which, according to the manufacturer, spins up to 100,000 revolutions per minute. Xiaomi states a maximum suction power of 60 AW for the complete device and up to 110 AW for the motor itself. However, these are values from their own and supplier laboratories, so consider them more as an upper limit than what you would measure at home.

The brand compares the new product with its smaller Mi Vacuum Cleaner Mini model, against which it is supposed to have approximately 76% higher suction (23,000 Pa compared to 13,000 Pa). This should be more than enough for crumbs, dust, and embedded dog hair.

Five-Stage Filtration and up to 45 Minutes of Battery Life

The sucked-in dust passes through a five-stage filtration system – from a cyclone separator through a metal mesh and sponge filters to a dense filter element. Xiaomi claims that the system captures over 99.5% of impurities and even 99.9% of particles sized 0.3 to 10 μm, meaning cleaner air should exit the exhaust and less dust will be stirred up. The filters are washable, and the dirt container can be emptied with a single press without getting your hands dirty.

Power is provided by five cells with a capacity of 2,500 mAh. However, battery life heavily depends on the mode: in economy mode, Xiaomi promises up to 45 minutes of operation, but only ten minutes in the strongest Turbo mode. It charges via USB-C, and the brand states 60W charging, although you must provide a suitable charger (a 20V/3A charger with PD support is recommended) and cable yourself.

Moreover, the vacuum cleaner doesn’t just stop at suction. In addition to the classic crevice and brush nozzles and a wide attachment with an anti-static pad, it also received a blowing attachment – one for blowing away dust, for example, when camping, and another for inflating mattresses and balls (it accommodates valves with a diameter of 16 to 21 mm). Thus, the small vacuum cleaner also becomes a mini inflator.

Price and Availability

Xiaomi has not yet announced the specific price or sales date in the Czech Republic. The new product has so far appeared on the manufacturer’s global website without a price tag. To give an idea of the price range for this category, an older and less powerful Mijia Car Vacuum Cleaner model with 21,000 Pa was sold in China for around 349 yuan (approximately 1,100 Czech crowns converted) – but the new version will likely be somewhat higher.
