Are you planning to buy a new TV with a diagonal of around 50 inches, but don’t want to spend more than 10,000 CZK? The Hisense 50A6Q now costs 5,993 CZK with discount code ALZADNY25 – when launched in May 2025, the model retailed for 8,490 CZK, so it has dropped by approximately 2,500 CZK since then. It supports Apple AirPlay 2 and offers image enhancement features.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want a large 4K TV for your living room with Dolby Vision and decent console features for a reasonable price.
⚠️ Consider if you are sensitive to the sound quality from integrated speakers – then plan for a soundbar right away.
💡 For 5,993 CZK, you get a large 4K panel with Dolby Vision and HDMI 2.1, which is above-average equipment in this price category.

Why this TV is interesting

The Hisense 50A6Q targets people who want a 50-inch 4K TV for a regular living room without venturing into the premium category. The combination of Dolby Vision HDR, three HDMI 2.1 ports, and a gaming mode with ALLM and VRR is strong in this price class today. This is also helped by the fact that it is a 2025 model year, so the VIDAA software environment and streaming service support are up-to-date.

Key parameters explained in plain language

The resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels on a 50-inch diagonal provides a sharp image at a typical viewing distance. The panel runs natively at 60 Hz, but supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG, so streamed movies and series look dynamic and with reasonable contrast. A contrast of 5000:1 and a panel response time of 6.5 ms are on par with standard LED TVs in this class. To enhance the image, the manufacturer uses 4K AI Upscaler and AI Smooth Motion, which calculate details and smoothness for lower-quality content.

For gamers, Game Mode Plus with ALLM, VRR, and the Game Bar is important. Input lag in game mode stays below 20 ms, which is a solid value even for console gaming. But beware of marketing – while the HSR feature “simulates 120 Hz”, the panel is physically 60Hz. So, don’t expect true 120 Hz here.

Practical aspects: ports, sound, and system

Connectivity is above standard for this price: 3× HDMI 2.1 (one with eARC), 2× USB 2.0, optical output, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 5. So, no problems for gamers or soundbar owners. The TV has integrated Chromecast, Miracast, and Apple AirPlay 2, so you can get content from your phone or tablet onto the screen without additional adapters. The VIDAA Smart OS system is fast and includes Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video, Oneplay, and other services.

The speakers are 2× 10 W with DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio AC4. This is sufficient for casual viewing of news or series, but as we will show later, some users encounter significant issues with the sound. The TV supports VESA 200×400 for wall mounting, and its weight is 10 kg without the stand. The warranty is a standard 24 months.

When it doesn’t make sense

If you are concerned with maximum image quality or HDR brightness, look in a different price category – ideally QLED or OLED models. The 50A6Q is a standard LED without local dimming and without a Quantum Dot layer, so black levels and contrast will not be on par with more expensive TVs. Similarly, it doesn’t make sense for hi-fi audio enthusiasts who want to rely purely on integrated speakers – factor a soundbar into your budget right away.

And if you need native 120 Hz for PC or console gaming, opt for a model that actually has such a panel. Game Mode Plus works here, but the physics of a 60Hz panel cannot be fooled. During the current Alza Days, you will also find other discounted TVs, including 55″ and 58″ variants from the same series.

Verdict: who it’s worth it for

For 5,993 CZK, the 50A6Q is a solid choice for a regular living room if you want a 50-inch 4K TV with Dolby Vision, decent gaming features, and support for current streaming services. The bonus of Antik TV worth 4,068 CZK makes the package a slightly more interesting offer, just be aware that bonus activation may take some time. If you are more demanding regarding sound or top-tier image quality, plan for a soundbar or a more expensive TV right away – at this price point, you are getting a reasonable compromise, not a reference experience.

Do you consider TV sound crucial, or do you plan for a soundbar right away?
