Honor is preparing another addition to its popular X series, and it seems to have a significant surprise in store. While competitors are vying for every extra hundred milliampere-hours, leaked photos of the upcoming X80 Pro Max phone have revealed a battery that probably no one expected – a gigantic 11,000 mAh.

A battery that puts many power banks to shame

If the leak proves true, this won’t be a minor increase. Today’s flagships typically range between 5,000 and 7,500 mAh, so 11,000 mAh would mean roughly double the usual capacity. Furthermore, hands-on photos of the phone reportedly confirm this value, as shown in the image below.

In addition, it should feature 90W wired charging and 27W reverse charging – meaning the upcoming model could even charge your headphones or another mobile phone. However, it’s worth noting that until the manufacturer officially confirms the specifications, these figures should be treated as leaks only.

What else to expect from the Honor X80 Pro Max’s specifications?

According to the leak, the front will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2788 × 1280 and a punch-hole cutout in the center. The device is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, a mid-range chip – and it’s good to keep expectations realistic here; don’t anticipate performance records from it. The base version is said to come with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

The rear will feature a striking circular island with a 50Mpx main camera, though initial photos suggest that the large circle might only house a single sensor. The back is expected to feature a two-tone faux leather design, and the system will run on the MagicOS 10 overlay based on Android 16. It will also include water and dust resistance along with a reinforced construction.

Would a giant battery appeal to you, even at the cost of weaker performance?
