Small size, surprising sound

KALLSUP belongs to the VAPPEBY series, and its main advantage is compactness. Despite its miniature dimensions, IKEA claims it offers rich and full sound.

Personally, what I find most interesting is the possibility of connecting multiple KALLSUP speakers together, which allows for the creation of a simple multi-room system. The distance between the main and other speakers can be up to 10 meters. You would be hard-pressed to find another speaker for a hundred crowns that would allow you to do this.

Wireless connection to a phone, tablet, or computer is, of course, provided by Bluetooth with a range of at least 10 meters in open space. The built-in rechargeable battery provides 9 hours of playback at 50% volume, which should cover a typical day of use. Charging is done via USB-C, but neither the cable nor the power adapter is included in the package.

Three color variants

The speaker is available in three color variants: classic white, striking pink, and neon green (IKEA refers to it as yellowish-green). The casing is made of ABS plastic, and maintenance involves simply wiping it with a damp cloth. The product bears the CE mark.

For 129 CZK, you get a basic speaker without significant audiophile ambitions, but with sufficient features for casual listening to music or podcasts around the home. The ability to connect multiple units makes sense especially in the context of the price – for a few hundred crowns, you can create a simple multi-room setup.

Would you get a speaker from IKEA?
