iPhone 18 Pro leaks months before premiere! Apple will once again bet on eccentric colors

Cosmic Orange was such a significant hit with last year’s iPhone 17 Pro series that most Android brands quickly adopted it in various variants. However, according to current reports, the same shade will not be repeated in this year’s generation. Renowned leaker Sonny Dickson published photos of iPhone 18 Pro dummy units, confirming what has been discussed in the rumor mill for several weeks — Apple will bet on a new “hero” color, which is to be a deep red shade provisionally referred to as Cherry.

The rest of the lineup, according to the leak, sticks to a proven mix. Alongside Cherry, light blue, dark gray or black, and silver are expected, with the silver looking practically identical to the silver version of the iPhone 17 Pro. The final shade and name of the new dominant color can, of course, still change, but the dummy units have arrived from multiple sources and correspond with each other, so it is most likely the final form.

From a design perspective, don’t expect any surprises. The body remains essentially the same as the 17 Pro, with only a minor change expected for the Dynamic Island cutout, which should be narrower. Earlier reports also suggested that Apple would maintain the same starting prices as this year’s series, and a variable aperture should appear in the main camera.

If Cherry is indeed confirmed as the main color, a scenario similar to last year can be expected in the coming months. Back then, Apple introduced orange, and within the next six months, we saw red, orange, and ochre variants of flagships from Xiaomi, OnePlus, Honor, and others in China and here. The question, therefore, is not whether, but how long after Cherry it will take for Android “inspirations” to appear.
