This new product utilizes an open-ear design with JBL OpenSound technology, allowing you to not only hear music but also perceive ambient sounds. The headphones are designed for all-day wear during everyday activities when it’s desirable to stay connected with the world around you. Air Conduction Sound Without Blocking Ears JBL Soundgear Clips use Air Conduction technology, which transmits sound through the air without the need to block the ear canal (as traditional in-ear headphones do). The special SonicArc shape positions the speaker optimally for quality bass while minimizing sound leakage to the surroundings. The manufacturer equipped the headphones with 11mm dynamic drivers featuring the well-known Bass Boost algorithm for enhancing low frequencies. For phone calls, the headphones include four microphones with an AI algorithm that filters out ambient noise. Thanks to the open-ear design, during a call, you hear not only the caller but also what’s happening around you, which will be especially appreciated by users moving through cities or busy places. Translucent Design in Five Colors The headphone design is based on current fashion trends. JBL will offer Soundgear Clips in five translucent variants with a metallic touch – Copper Ghost, Black Ghost, White Ghost, Blue Ghost, and Purple Ghost. The headphones attach to the earlobe with a clip, held in place by a flexible, shape-memory arc. The construction uses soft TPU material, ensuring comfortable all-day wear. The manufacturer has fine-tuned the clip’s clamping force so that the headphones stay stable without pressing uncomfortably. The package also includes a compact charging case in a matching color. 32 Hours Battery Life with Fast Charging The headphones themselves last up to 8 hours of playback on a single charge. The case adds another 24 hours, bringing the total battery life to 32 hours. If the headphones run out of battery, just 10 minutes of charging provides 3 hours of listening. JBL Soundgear Clips also boast IP54 rating, protecting them against dust and splashing water. Control is provided by touch surfaces on the headphones, whose functions can be customized in the JBL Headphones app. The app also allows you to set the sound profile according to your preferences. Price and Availability JBL Soundgear Clips will go on sale in Europe from October 2025 for a price of 129.99 euros, which is approximately 3,200 Czech crowns. We do not yet have specific information on availability in the Czech Republic, but given that JBL commonly supplies its products to our market, their introduction here can be expected.
