Do you like smart homes but are deterred by high device prices? Then you should pay attention. Lidl has just significantly reduced the price of its Silvercrest smart plug with Matter support, which you can now get for half price. Instead of the original 399.90 CZK, you will now pay just 199.90 CZK, making it one of the cheapest smart plugs with support for the modern Matter standard on the Czech market.

Universal Matter and Power Consumption Measurement

The Silvercrest smart plug boasts Matter certification, ensuring its compatibility with all major smart home ecosystems. This allows you to conveniently control connected electrical devices via the Lidl Home mobile app or integrate them into your existing smart home, no matter what platform you use. The plug can switch devices with a power consumption of up to 3680 W and a maximum current of 16 A, which covers the vast majority of common household appliances.

Key features include energy consumption measurement, which allows you to monitor how much electricity individual appliances consume. This feature can be particularly useful during times of high energy prices when you want to keep track of costs or identify appliances that are unnecessarily wasting electricity.

Advanced Features and Voice Control

In conjunction with the Lidl Home app, the plug offers multiple timed switching programs, which you will appreciate, for example, when setting up regular turning on and off of lighting during your absence. It also includes a countdown function for one-time actions or automatic time adjustment when switching to daylight saving or standard time.

The plug can also be controlled by voice using Google Assistant, so you don’t have to reach for your phone whenever you want to turn on or off a connected appliance. If you prefer manual control, the adapter also has a physical button for manual on and off.

Compact Dimensions and Easy Installation

With dimensions of approximately 5.8 x 5.8 x 7.3 cm and a weight of just 107 grams, the Silvercrest adapter is compact enough not to obstruct adjacent outlets. To get it working, you only need a Wi-Fi router and a smartphone with the Lidl Home app, which supports devices running iOS 11.0 or Android 6.0 and higher.
