For this money, you’d usually buy a 65-inch OLED elsewhere — here you get a QLED monster that will turn your living room into a home cinema.

The resolution is, of course, 4K (3,840 × 2,160), the panel’s refresh rate is 100/120 Hz, and in game mode, it even reaches 144 Hz. The HVA panel technology offers higher native contrast than standard IPS and better glare suppression — which you’ll appreciate on such a huge surface, as every light reflection is significantly more visible on 98 inches.

HDR format support is complete: HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision. The AiPQ Pro processor optimizes the image at the individual pixel level — upscaling older content, color correction, motion smoothness. It also features Filmmaker Mode for authentic cinematic presentation without additional processing.

Gaming on the Wall

For gamers, the TCL T8C offers a setup called Game Master: four HDMI 2.1 ports with ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) support, VRR at both 120 and 144 Hz, and FreeSync Premium. The Game Bar displays current FPS, latency, and mode. Both PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles will utilize full 4K at 120 Hz.

Sound, System, and Smart Features

For a TV of this size, the sound is surprisingly decent — it holds up for casual viewing without a soundbar, although we still recommend one for a cinematic experience. A 98-inch TV for 33,743 CZK is an offer that doesn’t come around often. The TCL T8C isn’t perfect — it’s QLED, not OLED, and the picture doesn’t compete with premiums from Samsung or LG. But nothing else at this price has 98 inches. Anyone who wants the largest possible picture for the lowest possible money and has a wall at home that can accommodate it, just looked at their next TV.
