It's coming to Czechia soon Home News OnePlus 15 debuted in China with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and a price starting from 3,999 yuan The phone offers the first 165Hz display with 1.5K resolution and a trio of 50Mpx cameras Global launch is expected by the end of 2025 Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 27. 10. 2025 13:30 Advertisement The Chinese brand OnePlus has officially unveiled its new flagship, the OnePlus 15. The new device is currently only heading to the domestic Chinese market, but according to the manufacturer’s statement, it should soon appear in other global markets, including Czechia. The phone brings several significant improvements over last year’s OnePlus 13 model, including a faster display and a significantly larger battery. In China, it starts at a price of 3,999 yuan (approximately 11,700 CZK without tax) for the basic variant. Premium construction with maximum durability Breakthrough 165Hz display with high resolution Powerful hardware with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip Massive battery with fast charging Trio of 50Mpx cameras Gaming features and ColorOS 16 Availability and pricing Premium construction with maximum durability The OnePlus 15 has undergone a really significant design change compared to its predecessor. On its back, you will no longer find the typical circular camera module placed on the left side, but rather a slightly raised island in the shape of a rounded square. The front is covered by a completely flat display. The phone features an aluminum frame and is available in three color variants: Original Sand Dune with a glass fiber-reinforced composite material surface, Absolute Black with matte glass, and Misty Purple with a flowing light effect. Dimensions are 161.42 × 76.67 × 8.1–8.2 mm with a weight of 211–215 grams depending on the chosen version. The new device has received IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, indicating the maximum possible protection against dust and water, including resistance to high-pressure hot water jets. Breakthrough 165Hz display with high resolution The OnePlus 15 is one of the few commercially available phones with a 165Hz display. Specifically, it features a 6.78″ AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,772 × 1,272 pixels (1.5K), which the manufacturer refers to as the third generation of its Eastern Screen technology. The display supports 10-bit colors and offers a maximum brightness of up to 1,800 nits for full-screen illumination. The panel utilizes BOE’s new X3 luminescent material in combination with the DisplayP3 chip. OnePlus emphasizes that each display undergoes individual calibration in their own factory line, which is intended to ensure consistent display across all units. The refresh rate dynamically adjusts from 1 to 120 Hz, while the mentioned 165 Hz can be achieved in some games, such as Delta Force, Call of Duty Mobile, or League of Legends: Wild Rift. An ultrasonic fingerprint reader is then built under the screen. Powerful hardware with Snapdragon 8 Elite chip Under the hood, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, manufactured with a 3nm process, ticks, offering a frequency of up to 4.6 GHz on two large cores. Configurations with 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage are available. For heat dissipation, OnePlus has implemented a new cooling system with an ultra-thin vapor chamber, which the manufacturer compares to steel used in the aerospace industry. The chamber has a 43% larger volume than its predecessor and also uses aerogel from the space industry for thermal insulation of critical areas. Massive battery with fast charging The OnePlus 15 features a 7,300mAh battery (technically two 3,650mAh cells), which represents a quite significant increase over its predecessor’s 6,000mAh battery. The phone supports 120W wired charging via proprietary SuperVOOC technology and also 50W wireless charging. According to the manufacturer, the charger can replenish 5,000 mAh in 17 minutes. The battery uses a silicon-carbon anode, which allows for higher energy density while maintaining compact dimensions. OnePlus promises that the battery will retain at least 80% of its capacity after 1,600 charging cycles. Trio of 50Mpx cameras The camera setup includes a 50Mpx Sony main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical stabilization, though slightly smaller than last year (1/1.56″ vs 1/1.4″). It is accompanied by a 50Mpx ultra-wide-angle lens with a 116° field of view and a 50Mpx telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom (equivalent to an 85mm focal length) and its own OIS. The front camera has a resolution of 32 Mpx with autofocus. OnePlus has for the first time integrated LUMO imaging technology from its sister company OPPO, which brings advanced algorithms for photo processing. This time, the manufacturer is no longer collaborating with the Swedish company Hasselblad. The phone is capable of recording 8K video at 30 fps or 4K at 120 fps with Dolby Vision support. Gaming features and ColorOS 16 For gamers, OnePlus has prepared several improvements, including a dedicated G2 chip for network connection optimization, which reduces latency by up to 65%. The phone also includes a gyroscope with the same specifications as PlayStation 5 controllers for more precise motion control. The ColorOS 16 system based on Android 15 brings new AI features, including automatic note creation from videos, mind map generation, and receipt recognition. OnePlus promises four years of major system updates and five years of security patches. Availability and pricing In China, the OnePlus 15 is available in the following configurations: 12GB+256GB for 3,999 yuan (approximately 11,700 CZK), 16GB+256GB for 4,299 yuan (12,600 CZK), 12GB+512GB for 4,599 yuan (13,500 CZK), 16GB+512GB for 4,899 yuan (14,400 CZK), and 16GB+1TB for 5,399 yuan (15,900 CZK). The manufacturer has confirmed on its website that the OnePlus 15 will arrive on the Czech market “soon,” but we do not have an exact date. However, we are expecting a November timeframe.
