The mid-range smartphone OnePlus Nord 5 has dropped below the 10 thousand Kč mark for the first time. You can now get it on Alza for 9,432 Kč with code ALZADNY25, which represents a discount of more than 3 thousand Kč from the original price of 12,576 Kč. Specifically, the variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage in Phantom Grey has been discounted.

Powerful Chipset and Smooth 144Hz Display

The OnePlus Nord 5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which, although no longer a complete novelty (for example, the POCO F7 received the newer 8s Gen 4 generation), still offers sufficient performance for demanding applications and games. The chipset is complemented by 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM with the option to expand by up to an additional 12 GB of virtual RAM.

The display is one of the phone’s main advantages. The 6.83″ AMOLED panel offers a resolution of 2800 × 1272 pixels and, most importantly, a 144Hz refresh rate, which ensures an exceptionally smooth image when scrolling and gaming. The screen achieves a typical brightness of 800 nits, and up to 1400 nits in high brightness mode, which guarantees good readability even in direct sunlight. The panel supports HDR and displays over a billion colors.

Long Endurance with Fast 80W Charging

According to foreign reviews, one of the phone’s best features is its 5200 mAh battery, which easily lasts a full day even with more demanding use. When the power runs out, 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging replenishes the battery within tens of minutes. OnePlus has also added a Bypass Charging feature, which powers the phone directly from the source when gaming, thus preserving battery life.

The phone runs on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. OnePlus promises 4 generations of major Android updates and 6 years of security patches, which is an above-average level of support for a mid-range phone.

Cameras with Optical Stabilization

The main 50Mpx Sony LYT-700 sensor features optical image stabilization (OIS) and an aperture of f/1.8. It is complemented by an 8Mpx wide-angle lens with a 116° field of view. A notable feature is the 50Mpx front camera with autofocus, which records video up to 4K resolution at 60 fps – this is not common in this price category.

Other features worth mentioning include dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, NFC for contactless payments, and IP65 dust and splash resistance. The phone supports dual SIM but lacks a memory card slot.

Who is the OnePlus Nord 5 suitable for?

With its current price under 10 thousand Kč, the OnePlus Nord 5 represents an interesting choice for users looking for a powerful phone with long endurance and a quality display. It will be particularly appreciated by mobile gamers thanks to its 144Hz screen and powerful processor, as well as by more demanding users who benefit from the large 512 GB storage and fast charging.

The phone may also appeal to OnePlus brand enthusiasts who appreciate the clean OxygenOS system without unnecessary applications. For this price, they get a solid performance-to-price ratio, even though competitors like the POCO F7 or Realme GT 7T offer more interesting hardware in some respects.
