Much has already leaked about the upcoming Google Pixel 11 series, including anticipated specifications and initial details about the Tensor G6 chipset. There is active speculation about its premiere use of 2nm technology, but even this year, a massive performance increase was not expected. Leaked results from the Geekbench 7 benchmark database, where the Pixel 11 Pro XL specifically appeared, could indicate what to expect.

Will Tensor G6 be a performance upgrade?

Right from the start, we must say that benchmark results do not necessarily represent the final state, and Tensor G6 could still surprise. However, the currently available values do not inspire much optimism. In the Geekbench 7 benchmark, the Google Pixel 11 Pro XL achieved 2,112 points in single-core and 5,196 points in multi-core tests. Meanwhile, its predecessor, the Google Pixel 10 Pro, scored around 1,977 and 5,805 points, respectively.

However, the benchmark database also revealed potentially more interesting information about the processor composition in the Tensor G6 chipset. The cores should be arranged into three clusters – or groups. The first contains two cores clocked at 2.65 GHz, the second has four cores operating at 3.38 GHz, and the third completes the setup with one core running at a frequency of 4.11 GHz. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the database also confirmed 16 GB of RAM on board.

In any case, we will soon find out what the new Google Pixel 11 phones will look like. The premiere is already planned for August 12. The real performance of the new Tensor G6 remains one of the few areas shrouded in mystery. However, we would genuinely prefer not to expect any significant leap forward.

What do you think of the current Pixel 11 Pro XL results in Geekbench?
