Redmi Pad 2 Pro looks like a bullseye again. It brings a huge battery, a fast chip, and a large display Home News Redmi Pad 2 Pro follows up on last year's successful model with the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor The new device boasts a significantly larger 12,000mAh battery and Android 15 with HyperOS 2 overlay In the Czech Republic, the tablet starts at a price of 6,999 CZK for the basic 6/128 GB version Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 25. 9. 2025 00:30 Advertisement Xiaomi has officially introduced a new generation of its popular mid-range tablet. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro comes with several significant improvements and aims to build on the success of its predecessor, which received an excellent rating of 93% in our review. Last year’s model impressed us primarily with its large display, solid performance, and exceptionally attractive price-to-performance ratio. How will this year’s generation fare? Preserved Design, Improved Internals Significantly Larger Battery and New System Connectivity and Cameras Audio and Memory Variants Availability and Prices in the Czech Republic No Revolution, but the Evolution (Seemingly) More Than Succeeded Preserved Design, Improved Internals In terms of design, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro remains faithful to its predecessor. It again offers a metal body with flat edges and an overall minimalist look. The device retains a 12.1″ IPS display with 2.5K resolution (2560 × 1600 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen provides a solid brightness of up to 600 nits in HBM mode and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The main improvements are happening under the hood. The new device is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, which should offer better performance than last year’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 – after all, an entire generation is being skipped. The chip is manufactured using 4nm technology and promises higher computational and graphical performance thanks to the Adreno 810 GPU. Significantly Larger Battery and New System The most significant improvement over its predecessor is the 12,000 mAh battery, which represents an increase of a full 2,000 mAh compared to the previous generation. Users can thus look forward to even longer battery life, which is a key parameter for a tablet designed for content consumption and productivity. Support for 33W fast charging remains. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro comes with the latest Android 15 system and the HyperOS 2 overlay, which is an improved version of the user interface that was positively received in the previous model. The system should offer even better optimization and all smart features such as split screen, floating windows, and support for advanced multitasking. Connectivity and Cameras Compared to the previous generation, the tablet adds GPS support, which was one of the shortcomings of last year’s model. In terms of connectivity, it also offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and the popular 3.5mm audio jack is also present. As with its predecessor, a version with 5G connectivity is also available for an additional charge. The cameras remain the same as in the previous model – an 8Mpx rear and an 8Mpx front camera. Given that taking photos with a tablet is not a priority for most users, this is a perfectly adequate solution for occasional video calls or scanning documents. Audio and Memory Variants The audio experience is provided by four stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio certification. In this regard, the predecessor was already quite well equipped, and the new device continues to meet the established standard. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro comes in three memory variants: 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage with 5G connectivity All versions support storage expansion via microSD card up to 2 TB. Availability and Prices in the Czech Republic Xiaomi maintains the pricing policy of the previous generation, which is a pleasant surprise in a time of rising electronics prices. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro is available in the Czech Republic at the following price points: Redmi Pad 2 Pro 6/128GB: 6,999 CZK Redmi Pad 2 Pro 8/256GB: 7,999 CZK Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G 6/128GB: 7,999 CZK Original accessories will also be available for the Czech market: the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Keyboardfor 1,699 CZK and the Redmi Pad 2 Pro Cover for 599 CZK. No Revolution, but the Evolution (Seemingly) More Than Succeeded The Redmi Pad 2 Pro does not bring a revolution, but rather a logical evolution of an already very successful tablet. The improved processor, significantly larger battery, and GPS support address some of the shortcomings of the previous model, while the maintained price makes the new tablet as attractive an offer as its predecessor. If you are looking for a tablet with a large display, solid performance, and excellent battery life at an affordable price, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro should definitely be on your shortlist. Given how well its predecessor performed in our tests, I have high expectations for the new device. How do you like the new Redmi Pad 2 Pro? Are you planning to get one?
