The successor to last year’s Galaxy S25 FE is starting to take shape. An unannounced Samsung phone with the designation SM-S741U, which apparently corresponds to the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE, has appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database. The leak reveals key information about the processor and expected performance.

Processor will receive a welcome upgrade

The tested prototype is powered by the Exynos 2500 chipset, the same processor Samsung used in the Galaxy Z Flip7. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 FE with a 4nm Exynos 2400 chip, this is a generational leap to a 3nm manufacturing process.

In Geekbench 6, the prototype achieved 2,426 points in the single-core test and 8,004 points in the multi-core test. Interestingly, despite having the same chipset as the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the S26 FE shows approximately 15% higher single-core performance and 8% better multi-core performance. The difference is likely due to better heat dissipation thanks to the phone’s larger body.

We’ll have to wait a few more months

The prototype runs on Android 17 with One UI 9 overlay and features 8 GB of RAM. The presence of the yet-to-be-released Android 17 suggests that there is still some time until the launch of the Galaxy S26 FE. Samsung introduced its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 FE, in September last year, so a similar timeframe can be expected this year.

According to earlier speculations, the Galaxy S26 FE should offer a 6.7″ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50Mpx main camera with optical stabilization, and a 4,900mAh battery with 45W charging support.

Are you tempted by the Galaxy S26 FE with Exynos 2500?
