This year’s 75″ Mini LED TV from Samsung entered the market in August for 26,990 CZK and held this price until early October. Now, a full third has been cut from it. You can buy the Samsung UE75M72H with code ALZADNY30 on Alza for 17,990 CZK, which is 9,000 CZK cheaper, after less than two months on the market.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense if you want a giant TV for movies, series, and sports in a larger living room and don’t want to spend over eighteen thousand on it.
⚠️ Consider that the panel only runs at 50/60 Hz and 20W speakers are barely sufficient for a 191-centimeter diagonal.
💡 For 17,990 CZK, an inch of diagonal costs less than 240 CZK, but factor in a soundbar right away.

It cost nine thousand more at the beginning of October

The price development is clear this time. Since its August launch, the TV was sold for 26,990 CZK and cost that much even at the beginning of October. With the ALZADNY30 code, it now comes out to 17,990 CZK, which is a discount of 9,000 CZK, or exactly one-third of the price. For a new product launched this August, this is not a common sight.

Samsung is not delaying with discounting Mini LED TVs this year. We wrote about the fifty-inch UE50M72H from the same series when it dropped below ten thousand, and the 65″ model UE65M70H reached 11,990 CZK. However, the seventy-five-inch model held its launch price until October.

What does Mini LED bring to 191 centimeters?

Behind the panel, there are not classic LED diodes, but smaller diodes, more of which can fit. This allows the TV to more finely decide which part of the image to dim and which to leave lit. In practice, this should mean deeper blacks in evening scenes and less gray haze around subtitles or a starry sky. Alza does not state how many dimming zones the TV has available, and at this price, I wouldn’t expect the contrast of more expensive models.

The image with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels is handled by the Mini LED 4K processor, which, according to Samsung, upscales older films and shows to near 4K quality. This is useful on such a large screen, as less sharp content on 75 inches will stand out much faster than on a smaller screen. The manufacturer also adds Pure Spectrum Color for more natural colors, Mini LED HDR for better detail in dark areas, and Motion Xcelerator for smoother sports. However, a footnote states that upscaling does not work in game mode or when a computer is connected.

System updates promised until 2033

The TV runs on the One UI Tizen system with apps like Oneplay, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, YouTube, and Spotify, so you don’t need any extra smart box. For this year’s models, Samsung promises system updates for seven years, meaning new versions should continue to arrive long after the two-year warranty expires. You can also play games via cloud gaming services, and the built-in SmartThings hub can control compatible smart home devices.

However, be aware that many services require registration and a Samsung account, and some also require a subscription. Without logging in, you will only be able to use a portion of the smart features.

Where was the TV economized?

It’s most noticeable in the refresh rate. The panel only runs at 50/60 Hz, which is perfectly sufficient for movies, series, and football. Although Alza lists HDMI 2.1, FreeSync, and game mode among the gaming features, owners of PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X will not be able to utilize 4K at 120 frames per second. Those who game a lot might encounter limitations here.

The second area is sound. 20W speakers are more for show on a 191-centimeter diagonal, and a virtual top channel won’t save it. It’s more reasonable to factor in a soundbar, with which the TV can play together thanks to the Q-Symphony feature, if you choose a compatible model. And a minor note: only one USB port is available.

For a screen of this size, it’s worth thinking about the wall. The TV uses VESA 400 × 300 mounting, and Alza offers wall mounting for it for 1,899 CZK, which is certainly not an unnecessary service for a 75-inch TV.

I’d take it if you have a wall for it

The Samsung UE75M72H is a large TV from this year for anyone who primarily watches movies, series, and sports in the evening and wants a system that won’t quickly become outdated. For 17,990 CZK with code ALZADNY30, you get 75 inches with Mini LED for 9,000 CZK less than it cost at the beginning of October. I wouldn’t hesitate at that price myself, if you have a large enough living room and a soundbar planned.

On the other hand, those who buy a TV mainly for a console and want 120 Hz in 4K will likely opt for a more expensive series. And if you sit only a few steps from the TV, a smaller diagonal from the same series will serve you just as well for less money.

What’s the largest TV you’d dare to hang in your living room?
