A tablet with mobile data under 3 500 crowns wasn’t available even on AliExpress until recently. The Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 4G reached 3 411 Kč via Heureka, and at this price point, there’s not much point in debating whether an 11″ display and a SIM slot are worth the money – they are.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want a tablet for series, reading, navigation, or for kids in the car and want to use your own SIM card instead of a mobile hotspot.
⚠️ Consider if you expect performance for games or multitasking – 4 GB RAM is at the very bottom of usability today.
💡 For 3 411 Kč, however, you won’t find an 11″ tablet with LTE, a metal body, and a 9000mAh battery anywhere else.

Why the Redmi Pad 2 Makes Sense

The main attraction is the 2.5K LCD display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a 90 Hz refresh rate. It’s perfectly sufficient for watching YouTube, Netflix, or browsing the web – 274 ppi makes text readable, and 90 Hz means scrolling isn’t choppy like on cheap 60Hz tablets. The brightness of 500 nits (up to 600 nits in outdoor mode) can handle even a sunny terrace. You’ll appreciate the TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light and Flicker Free if you read a lot on the tablet.

The second strong point is the 9000 mAh battery. When watching videos, it can last even longer than an entire flight to the USA without needing to recharge. Four speakers with Dolby Atmos make the tablet a reasonable player even without headphones – in a tablet for three thousand, that’s a premium bonus. The metal body, just 7.36 mm thin, feels stable, and its 510 g weight can be held for a long time. LTE connectivity is the main difference compared to cheaper competitors – you can take the tablet with your own SIM card anywhere without relying on Wi-Fi.

Where the Price is Reflected

Let’s be honest – a tablet for 3 400 Kč is not a performance beast. The MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra processor can handle common applications, social networks, and streaming without a hitch, but it struggles with more demanding games. 4 GB RAM is truly modest for a new tablet in 2026, and multitasking between multiple applications will require occasional restarts. If you want a tablet as your primary work device, you should rather look for a variant with 8 GB RAM or elsewhere entirely.

Other practical points: there is no microSD slot, so 128 GB is fixed. Wi-Fi 5 instead of Wi-Fi 6 is now seen even on cheaper phones. The HyperOS 2 system is in Czech, but Xiaomi maintains its traditional bad habit – system ads, which can usually be manually turned off in the settings, but you need to account for them after the first launch.

Do you use a tablet with its own SIM, or is a Wi-Fi variant enough for you?
