TCL brings new C7L TV series to the Czech market: They entice with new Super Quantum Dot technology and will please gamers Home News TCL introduces the SQD-Mini LED C7L series to the Czech and Slovak markets, the most affordable Mini LED from its current lineup It boasts a 144Hz panel, gaming with VRR up to 288 Hz, and sound by Bang & Olufsen, but the top image parameters mainly apply to the largest models Prices start at 21,990 CZK for 55", for the 98-inch behemoth you'll pay 72,990 CZK Sdílejte: Jakub Kárník Published: 2. 6. 2026 08:30 Advertisement Just a few years ago, Mini LED technology was sold as a premium privilege. However, TCL has been moving it down the price ladder year after year, until it is slowly becoming standard equipment in the mid-range. The latest proof is the C7L series, which the Chinese are just launching in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is the model from this year’s SQD-Mini LED lineup that most people will actually buy, as it sits below the premium C8L and the large-format flagship X11L, promising a decent portion of their technologies for a fraction of the price. Three thousand nits? Only on the largest one Where savings were made compared to more expensive siblings The C7L excels especially in gaming Prices and availability Three thousand nits? Only on the largest one On paper, the display features look appealing. TCL promises peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits in HDR, up to 2,176 dimming zones, and an HVA 2.0 Pro panel from its own CSOT division. The catch is that these peak figures belong to the 98-inch model. The manufacturer itself notes below the table that specifications vary by diagonal size, so expect fewer zones for smaller dimensions. TCL has not yet provided specific values for individual sizes. The claim of 100% BT.2020 color space coverage “in all scenes” should also be taken with a grain of salt. Virtually no display on the market can handle such a wide palette in laboratory measurements yet, and TCL also admits that the stated values are based on its own internal testing. Until independent measurements arrive, consider this a marketing promise, not a verified fact. Where savings were made compared to more expensive siblings The C7L is the cheapest SQD-Mini LED in the lineup, and the compromises reflect that. Compared to the more expensive C8L, it loses the more advanced panel with better viewing angles, offers fewer dimming zones, and the number of full-fledged HDMI 2.1 ports has shrunk to two. If you plan to connect both a gaming console and a PC at once, keep this in mind. The flagship X11L is then a completely different league, reaching brightness around 11,000 nits and built on RGB Mini LED. The C7L is therefore not for those who want the maximum, but for those who don’t want to overpay for parameters they won’t use at home anyway. The C7L excels especially in gaming Where the C7L is most convincing is in gaming. The panel runs natively at 144 Hz, so fast action in sports and racing games remains clear. For PC gamers, it adds a Game Accelerator mode with variable refresh rate (VRR) up to 288 Hz, along with FreeSync Premium Pro support to prevent screen tearing and Dolby Vision gaming. The sound system is Audio by Bang & Olufsen with Dolby Atmos support. It promises clear dialogues even without an external soundbar, but only a test will show how it performs in practice. The entire system runs on Google TV with all the usual streaming applications. Prices and availability The C7L series is available on the Czech and Slovak markets in five diagonal sizes from 55 to 98 inches.
