TCL brings three new phones to the Czech Republic! One boasts a paper-like display, prices start at 2,799 CZK

TCL officially introduced a trio of new 60 series phones for the Czech and Slovak markets. The models TCL 605, TCL 60 SE, and TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G are going on sale, targeting the affordable segment. While the first two offer rather unexciting features, the top model stands out primarily with its unique “paper-like” display and AI-powered functions.

TCL 605: basic model with all-day battery life

The most affordable model TCL 605 comes in two memory variants. The front features a 6.67″ HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by a not-so-powerful octa-core MediaTek Helio G81 processor, complemented by either 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, or 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, depending on the chosen configuration.

With the 605 model, TCL focuses primarily on practicality. The 5,200 mAh battery can handle a full day of use on a single charge and supports 18W charging. The camera setup includes a 50Mpx main camera, complemented by a 5Mpx selfie camera.

IP54 standard resistance protects the phone from splashing water and dust. The fingerprint reader is only available on the larger 256GB variant.

TCL 60 SE: plenty of space for all your data

The mid-range model TCL 60 SE uses the same processor as the basic variant but adds several improvements. The most significant is the memory – 8 GB RAM and a massive 512 GB of storage. Thanks to RAM expansion technology, the phone can theoretically operate with up to 18 GB of RAM (8 GB physical + 10 GB virtual).

The camera setup has received a slight improvement, with the 50Mpx main camera supporting artificial intelligence for better image processing. The front camera has a higher resolution of 8 Mpx.

Like the basic model, the TCL 60 SE also offers a 6.67″ HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 5,200 mAh battery. Unlike the basic model, a fingerprint reader is part of the standard equipment here.

TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G: paper-like display with artificial intelligence

Undoubtedly, the most interesting model of the new trio is the TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G. As the name suggests, its main advantage is the unique 6.7″ HD+ display with NXTPAPER technology, which simulates the look and feel of paper. TCL developed this technology to address issues with digital displays, focusing on reducing blue light and minimizing glare. Thanks to a combination of hardware and software solutions, the display offers a “paper-like” experience while maintaining a full-color spectrum.

The display is equipped with a matte anti-glare layer, which significantly reduces reflections and improves readability in direct sunlight. A special NXTPAPER Key button is used to switch between standard mode and “paper-like” display mode. In paper mode, the phone switches to a black-and-white display, which is gentler on the eyes during prolonged reading.

Hardware-wise, the TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G is the best-equipped model of the new trio. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset brings 5G network support and offers higher performance than the Helio G81 in other models. The camera setup includes, in addition to the 50Mpx main camera, a 5Mpx wide-angle lens, which is missing in other models. It also features an 8Mpx selfie camera, a 5,200mAh battery with 18W charging, and 8 GB RAM expandable by another 10 GB of virtual memory.

TCL highlights primarily AI-powered features in this model, such as text summarization, instant translation, writing assistance, or a personal assistant for scheduling meetings.
