We’ve already featured AKKO in our keyboard tips – recently it was the 5098B Prunus Lannesiana with a Japanese motif. This time, with code ALZADNY35, the 5108B Plus model with the licensed Lord of the Mysteries design is available for 2 365 Kč – a full-size variant with a numpad and the same DNA of quality materials.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want a wireless full-size mechanical keyboard with a numpad and enjoy customizing its appearance and switches.
⚠️ Consider if you type a lot in Czech – the keyboard has a US layout without diacritics.
💡 For 2 365 Kč, you get hot-swap sockets, PBT keycaps, and three connection modes – features rarely seen in a full-size mechanical keyboard at this price.

What AKKO offers for 2 400

The base is a full-size layout (108 keys) including a numpad – unlike compact 60% and 65% keyboards, here you have numbers for spreadsheets, classic arrow keys, and an F-row without Fn combinations. Hot-swap sockets allow you to replace switches without soldering, so you can swap the pre-installed linear Akko V3 Piano Pro switches for tactile or clicky ones anytime, depending on your preference. The keycaps are made of durable PBT plastic with dye-sublimation, so the legends won’t fade even after years, and the keycaps won’t start to shine like cheap ABS.

Connectivity is handled by three modes – a 2.4 GHz dongle for low latency during gaming, Bluetooth 5.0 for up to three devices with switching via keyboard shortcuts, and a USB-C cable for maximum stability. The 3000 mAh battery lasts over a week when typing without backlighting; with RGB at maximum, expect daily charging. N-Key Rollover registers all simultaneously pressed keys, and built-in memory retains settings even when you connect the keyboard to another device. RGB backlighting offers 16 million colors and dynamic effects.

What to watch out for

As with its sister 5098B, the keyboard has a US/EN layout – Y and Z are swapped compared to the Czech layout, and you type diacritics using dead keys. For gaming, this is standard, but for intensive typing in Czech, you’ll lose your rhythm for the first few days. Akko V3 Piano Pro switches are primarily linear and gaming-oriented – quieter than a classic mechanical keyboard, but if you’re looking for a truly silent work keyboard for an open-plan office, hot-swap fortunately allows you to replace the switches with a quieter variant.

Second point: a full-size format takes up desk space. If you have a small desk or want more room for your mouse while gaming, look for a more compact variant. And thirdly – the licensed Lord of the Mysteries design is distinctive. For fans of the source material, it’s an attraction, but if the motif doesn’t resonate with you, you’re partly paying for an aesthetic you won’t appreciate – in such a case, a plain AKKO without the license might be a more sensible option for less money.
