The best phone for six thousand! This OnePlus has great performance, a beautiful display, and can shoot 4K/60 FPS video

As part of Black Friday, Alza is dropping the price of the OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G from the original 8,990 CZK to 5,990 CZK. For six thousand, you get a 6.77″ AMOLED display with 120Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 processor with a performance of around 1.4 million points in AnTuTu, 80W charging, and a main camera with 4K 60fps video – which is not standard at this price. The only major downside? A mono speaker, which is no longer acceptable in 2025.

What you get for 5,990 CZK

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G features a 6.77″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2392×1080 (Full HD+) and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is a bright panel with HDR10+ support and a solid peak brightness of up to 1300 nits.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex processor achieves around 1.4 million points in AnTuTu, a performance comparable to last year’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. But beware – under sustained load, the phone throttles heavily (reduces performance due to heating). This doesn’t matter for everyday use, but it does for demanding gaming for minutes.

The camera features a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an aperture of f/1.8, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 16MP selfie camera. The main camera handles 4K 60fps video, which is not common at this price point – most competitors max out at 4K 30fps.

The battery has 5200 mAh and supports 80W charging (adapter not included). The phone easily lasts a full day.

Main downside: mono speaker

The biggest problem with the OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G is the mono speaker on the bottom edge. In 2025, when most phones for six thousand have stereo, this is hardly acceptable.

Lukáš from Prague also criticizes it: “The only pity is the mono speaker, which doesn’t have the best sound, but with an equalizer, it can be tuned quite nicely.” If you listen to music through headphones, it’s not a problem. But if you watch videos out loud or play games without headphones, the mono speaker will be an issue.

Other minor downsides: no eSIM, no 3.5mm jack, throttling under sustained load. But these are things you can expect at this price point.

Conclusion: Best price/performance ratio, but with a compromise

The OnePlus Nord CE 5 5G for 5,990 CZK is probably the best price/performance ratio in the mid-range you can currently find in the Czech Republic. MediaTek Dimensity 8350 with ~1.4M AnTuTu points, 6.77″ AMOLED 120 Hz, 80W charging, 4K 60fps video, and 4 years of OS updates – all for six thousand is an exceptional deal.
