The Honor 600 series has its launch date set for April 23, when the new devices are expected to be unveiled to the world in France. Nevertheless, for some reason – or perhaps even by mistake – the manufacturer made the pages dedicated to these new devices accessible, where we can read practically all the essential information. So, unless Honor surprises us with something significant, in a few days we will primarily learn about the memory configurations, price, and availability of the new devices.

Another “iPhone with Android”?

The Honor 600 series sparked a wave of controversy already during the leak of the first images of the phone’s back. And looking at them for the first time, I probably don’t even need to describe why. Although I am personally quite lenient towards various accusations of copying and likening everything to products with a bitten apple logo, here the inspiration from the iPhone 17 Pro is completely obvious. Not only is the design of the camera module strikingly similar, but even the orange color version seems to have an identical shade to that of the iPhone 17 Pro.

Both new Honor devices feature a metal frame, and in the same place as the iPhone’s haptic camera control button, there is a so-called AI button. However, I haven’t read anywhere yet whether it’s solely a button for invoking the AI assistant or its assigned functions, or if it can also be used to control the camera. Personally, I would guess the latter option. Honor also boasts very thin 0.98mm bezels around the display. Both phones will offer IP68/69K protection.

The Honor 600 Series Will Offer Solid Hardware

Common features of the Honor 600 and 600 Pro include a large, 7,000mAh Si-C battery with support for 80W fast charging and 27W reverse charging. Only the more equipped Honor 600 Pro will also offer 50W wireless charging support. The display is also identical on both phones. It is a 6.5″ OLED panel with a resolution of 2,728 x 1,264 px, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a maximum short-term brightness of up to 8,000 nits. Among the common elements of both (un)revealed new devices is also an identical 50MPx selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens.

And common elements, or rather cameras, can also be found on the backs of the new devices. Both models share a primary and an ultrawide camera along with a dedicated color temperature sensor. The primary camera features a 200MPx sensor with a size of 1/1.4″ and optical image stabilization. Images with a 112° field of view are then captured by a 12MPx sensor. Only the Honor 600 Pro will also offer a portrait camera with 3.5x optical zoom, optical stabilization, and a 50MPx sensor.

If you crave performance, the chipset used can be a fairly significant difference for you. The Honor 600 relies on the solid mid-range chipset Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the more equipped Honor 600 Pro “runs” on last year’s high-end chipset in the form of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Both phones will then arrive on the market with Android 16, and the Honor AI Suite toolkit will, of course, not be missing. More information about memory variants and especially the prices of the new devices can be expected during the aforementioned presentation on April 23.

How do the new devices and their design strike you?
