The JBL brand introduced its latest Grip Bluetooth speaker in China, primarily targeting users looking for a durable companion for outdoor activities. The new product focuses on a combination of durability, water resistance, and visual effects at a price of 799 yuan, which is approximately 2,400 Czech crowns in conversion.

Compact Dimensions with Powerful Sound

At the heart of the JBL Grip is a 16W driver handling all frequency bands (meaning the speaker does not use separate tweeters for high frequencies, for example), which, according to the manufacturer, can provide balanced sound with strong bass and clear highs.

As for dimensions, the Grip measures 152.5 × 64 × 65.2 mm and weighs 385 grams. Thanks to the integrated hook, you can easily attach the speaker to a backpack or bicycle handlebars, while rubber feet ensure stability on flat surfaces.

Maximum Durability for Demanding Conditions

One of the main attractions of the new JBL Grip is undoubtedly its IP68 certification, which guarantees complete dust and water resistance. The speaker can survive immersion in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes and can also withstand a one-meter drop. This makes it ideal for use at the beach or by the pool, and you don’t have to worry about taking it camping in nature either.

Modern Connectivity and Long Battery Life

JBL opted for Bluetooth 5.4 technology for stable wireless connectivity with lower latency and faster pairing. Also useful is the support for Auracast technology, which allows multiple Grip speakers to be connected for wider stereo sound – ideal for parties or outdoor events.

Power is provided by a 3.85V lithium-ion battery with up to 12 hours of standard playback. In Boost+ power-saving mode, the speaker can even operate for up to 14 hours on a single charge. Charging takes place via a USB-C connector, with a full charge taking approximately three hours.

Four-Color LED Effects Controlled by App

In addition to quality sound, the JBL Grip also offers an integrated four-color LED system with dynamic effects. Users can choose from modes such as ambient lighting, breathing effects, or visuals synchronized with the rhythm of the music. All lighting and sound settings are done via a mobile application, where you can adjust brightness, colors, and color temperature. If you don’t have proper party lighting at your outdoor event, this feature can at least partially compensate for it.

Availability in the Czech Republic Not Yet Confirmed

The JBL Grip is currently officially sold only on the Chinese market, where customers pay 799 yuan (2,400 CZK in conversion) for it. We do not yet have information about its expansion into Europe or specifically into the Czech Republic, but it cannot be ruled out in the future – JBL regularly brings its new products to our market, usually with a delay of several months.
