The successor to the successful Redmi Pad Pro will likely bring (at least) one great improvement. What is it? Home News Leaker Digital Chat Station discovered a record of a new Xiaomi tablet in the 3C certification database The device will feature 67W charging, which is double that of the Redmi Pad Pro It could be the successor to the Redmi Pad Pro or an improved version of the recently launched Redmi Pad 2 Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 6. 8. 2025 12:30 Advertisement Xiaomi is apparently preparing a new tablet with significantly faster charging than current models. The well-known leaker Digital Chat Station found a record in the 3C certification database for a device that supports charging up to 67 W. It is not yet clear whether the new device, designated Redmi Pad 2 Pro, will be presented as the successor to the successful Redmi Pad Pro, or as an improved version of the recently launched Redmi Pad 2. Significantly Faster Charging Than Current Models If the information is confirmed, it will be a significant advancement in tablet charging from Xiaomi. The current Redmi Pad Pro only supports 33W charging, while the more affordable Redmi Pad 2 has to settle for just 18W. Faster charging will, of course, always be welcome for tablets given their battery size. While the Redmi Pad Pro with a 10,000mAh battery and 33W charging needs about an hour and three-quarters for a full charge, a model supporting 67W charging could significantly reduce this time. Of course, there’s also a scenario where charging from zero to 100% wouldn’t be that much faster, and that’s if the Redmi Pad 2 Pro were to get a significantly larger battery. This is also an undeniable trend in the smartphone and tablet market today. The combination of a large battery and fast charging would make the new device an ideal companion for long workdays and travel. Few Details So Far Unfortunately, the certification records do not reveal further specifications, so we can only speculate about processor performance, display size, or other features. Xiaomi will likely maintain its proven strategy of combining decent features with an attractive price. Current Redmi Tablet Offerings While we await the new model, let’s recall the specifications of the two aforementioned models, which we believe are definitely worth considering. Redmi Pad Pro: Powerful Tablet with a Large Display The Redmi Pad Pro features a 12.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, you’ll find a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, a 10,000mAh battery with 33W charging, and four stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. I personally tested this tablet and still use it today, and I must particularly commend the fantastic price-to-feature ratio, with the display being the best part for me. Thanks to its size, it serves well for both work and multimedia consumption. KOUPIT REDMI PAD PRO Redmi Pad 2: Affordable Tablet with a Quality Display The more affordable Redmi Pad 2 offers an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra processor, has a 9,000mAh battery with 18W charging, and an aluminum chassis. It is primarily suitable for less demanding users.
