65″ 4K QLED TVs with a 144 Hz panel and HDMI 2.1 usually start significantly higher. However, the TCL 65T8C has now dropped to 13 153 Kč, which is the lowest price since its launch in April 2025. At the time of its launch last April, it cost 22 990 Kč, so you are currently saving 9 655 Kč. Current availability and a list of stores can be found directly in the overview on Heureka.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you are looking for a large 65″ TV with QLED picture and 144 Hz for movies, sports, and gaming, and want to pay as little as possible.
⚠️ Consider if you need extremely high brightness for a brightly lit room or perfect upscaling of older SD/HD broadcasts.
💡 For 13 153 Kč, it’s a relatively balanced combination of size, 4K QLED panel, and gaming features – the combination of 65″ + 144 Hz + HDMI 2.1 is rather an exception at this price point.

Why this TV is interesting on sale

The basic logic is simple: TCL 65T8C offers you a 65″ diagonal (164 cm) for the price you would usually pay for a 55″ higher-end model, plus features that were reserved for more expensive models just a year ago. A native 144 Hz panel, AiPQ Pro processor, and 4× HDMI 2.1 is a combination you won’t commonly see at this price level. The TV was released in April 2025 for 22 990 Kč, and the current 13 153 Kč is the historically lowest value for the entire sales period.

Picture: QLED, 4K, and 144 Hz in practice

The panel is 4K UHD (3840 × 2160 px) and uses QLED with Colorful Quantum Crystal technology. In practice, this means richer colors and higher brightness than conventional LED TVs – the manufacturer states 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, a value that even significantly more expensive models wouldn’t be ashamed of. Image processing is handled by the AiPQ Pro processor, which fine-tunes contrast, sharpness, and motion in real-time according to the content type.

For games and fast-paced scenes, the native 144 Hz refresh rate is crucial, plus Game Accelerator up to 288 Hz in Full HD resolution. Additionally, the TV supports VRR, ALLM, and Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG, so it handles today’s consoles (PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X) and modern gaming PCs without compromise. The HVA panel with anti-reflective coating helps reduce reflections, which will be appreciated by anyone who doesn’t have the TV in a darkened room.

Sound: ONKYO 2.1 instead of a soundbar

The audio equipment is rather above standard for this price category. The TCL 65T8C features an ONKYO-tuned 2.1 audio system with a total output of 35 W and an integrated subwoofer on the back. Additionally, there’s Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support. This doesn’t mean you can do without a quality soundbar for a full home cinema experience, but for regular movie, series, and gaming viewing, the built-in sound is significantly more usable than most competitors at this price point – the subwoofer makes the biggest difference here.

Practical aspects: ports, system, connectivity

Connectivity is at a modern level. You get 4× HDMI 2.1 (with VRR, ALLM, and eARC), USB, LAN, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0. Four full-fledged HDMI 2.1 ports are more of an exception than a rule at this price point – you can connect a console, gaming PC, soundbar, and satellite simultaneously without having to re-plug anything.

The system is Google TV, which is the current version of Android for TVs. This brings the main advantage: native support for all important streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video, YouTube, Apple TV+) and voice control via Google Assistant. The TV is distributed in the EU, so it comes with a Czech interface and Czech warranty.

When this TV doesn’t make sense

Let’s be honest: the TCL 65T8C is neither OLED nor QD-Mini LED. If you want the absolute deepest blacks, perfect HDR in a darkened room, and uncompromising brightness over 1,000 nits, you should look for more expensive models like the TCL 65C8K or OLED competitors – just be prepared for at least double the budget. Similarly, if you mostly watch standard TV broadcasts in SD quality, upscaling is not its biggest strength here, and you will notice the difference compared to premium processors.

And one more note: a 65″ TV is not for every living room. If you sit closer than approximately 2.5 meters, you need to consider the size – this diagonal is primarily for larger rooms.

Verdict: who this discount is for

For 13 153 Kč, you get a 65″ 4K QLED TV with native 144 Hz, four HDMI 2.1 ports, and ONKYO 2.1 sound with an integrated subwoofer. This is equipment that would have cost significantly more just a year ago. If you are looking for a main TV for your living room for movies, series, and gaming on a console or PC and don’t want to pay for OLED or QD-Mini LED, this is one of the best current offers. The discount from the original 22 990 Kč to the current 13 153 Kč (a saving of 9 655 Kč) also represents the historically lowest price – this TV has never been sold cheaper before.

Do you mainly use your TV for movies, or also for gaming? What diagonal size do you think is ideal for 4K?
