This is the cheapest QuadHD monitor with a 27″ diagonal. The Philips model costs less than two thousand

Looking for an affordable monitor with a higher resolution than Full HD, but don’t want to spend on expensive gaming panels? An interesting opportunity has just appeared on the Czech market. Philips 27E2N1500L with Quad HD resolution dropped to 1,926 CZK, which, according to Heureka, makes it the cheapest 27″ QHD monitor in the domestic market. At launch, it cost over 3 thousand crowns.

IPS panel with 2560 × 1440 pixel resolution

At the heart of the monitor is a 27″ IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels, which offers 77% more pixels compared to standard Full HD. In practice, this means sharper text, more detailed photos, and more space for working with multiple windows side by side. The panel features a brightness of 300 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1, while SmartContrast technology dynamically adjusts the backlight according to the displayed content.

Thanks to IPS technology, the monitor offers 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, so colors remain true even when viewed from the side. Philips has also implemented HDR 10 support for better display of high dynamic range content and Adaptive-Sync to eliminate screen tearing during gaming. The refresh rate is 75 Hz with a response time of 4 ms.

Features to reduce eye strain

For users who spend long hours in front of the monitor, Philips has prepared several comfort-focused features. LowBlue Mode reduces blue light emitted by the display, while Flicker-Free technology eliminates annoying backlight flickering. Also available is EasyRead Mode, which optimizes text display for more comfortable reading of longer documents.

The display surface is anti-glare with a hardness of 3H and 25% haze, which reduces reflections in brightly lit rooms.

Connectivity and practical features

The monitor features one HDMI 1.4 port and one DisplayPort 1.4, both with HDCP 1.4 support. An HDMI cable and power cable are included in the package. A VESA mount 100 × 100 mm is provided for wall or arm mounting. The stand allows tilting from -5° to +20°, but height adjustment is missing.

The monitor weighs 3.19 kg with the stand and its dimensions are 614 × 457 × 200 mm. Power consumption in operation is 20.32 W, and in standby mode, it’s only 0.5 W.
