This is what the Pixel 11a should look like. Leaked renders show a familiar design

  • First renders, reportedly showing the Pixel 11a, have leaked
  • The phone's design will remain almost unchanged compared to the Pixel 10a

The upcoming Pixel 11a will arrive no earlier than spring. However, CAD renders already show what it might look like. They were prepared by the well-known leaker OnLeaks in collaboration with Android Headlines and depict a phone that, at first glance, is almost indistinguishable from this year’s Pixel 10a.

Pixel 11a maintains a familiar shape

The back is smooth in the renders, with only the G logo in the center. In the upper left corner sits a black oval with two lenses, while the LED flash remained next to it, outside the module. According to Android Headlines, the camera is still supposed to be flush with the back, only the oval is slightly shorter than on the Pixel 10a.

The front features a flat display with a punch-hole for the selfie camera in the middle of the top edge. According to the server, the bezels around the screen will be slightly thicker than on more expensive Pixels. The buttons remain on the right edge, while the bottom houses a USB-C port and a pair of speaker grilles.

The dimensions are expected to be approximately 153.5 × 72.4 × 9 mm. Compared to the Pixel 10a (153.9 × 73 × 9 mm), the phone will reportedly be slightly shorter and narrower. You probably won’t notice it in your hand, but Android Headlines warns that Pixel 10a cases might not fit the successor.

Purple color is just a tip for now

The Pixel 11a might be sold in four colors – black, silver, green, and purple. However, the specific shade in the renders does not come from a leak. Android Headlines editor-in-chief Alexander Maxham writes that the editorial team derived it themselves from colors used by Google and competitors this year, and from gaps in the existing Pixel palette. They provisionally named the muted purple with a reddish tint “Orchid.”

9to5Google also points out the uncertainty, stating that it is unclear whether the vibrant shade is based on real information. Caution makes sense given this year’s experience – the Pixel 11 leaked under different color names than those it was eventually sold with.

Main novelties will be hidden inside

While the Pixel 10a stuck with the older Tensor G4, its successor is expected to get the same Tensor G6 as the Pixel 11 series. This will also bring a MediaTek modem instead of Samsung’s, and the Titan M3 security chip. RAM is still expected to be 8 GB.

The display diagonal is expected to remain at 6.3 inches, but the peak brightness is reportedly set to increase to 3,350 nits. The front camera is also said to be new, though no further details are known yet. The battery, however, might slightly decrease in capacity according to a July leak – the minimum capacity is expected to be 4,870 mAh, compared to 5,000 mAh for the Pixel 10a.

When and for how much?

Android Headlines expects the unveiling in February or March 2027; Google revealed the Pixel 10a this year on February 18. The price has not leaked yet. The Pixel 10a started at 13,290 Kč in the Czech Republic, but due to expensive memory, the server does not rule out a price increase, similar to this year’s Pixel 11s.

Is a new chip enough for you in the Pixel 11a, or would you expect a new design from Google as well?
