Two 200MP cameras even without the Pro moniker? Xiaomi 18 is also expected to get triple zoom

According to a new leak, the standard Xiaomi 18 is expected to get two 200MP cameras – a main camera and a telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The leak comes from The Panda is Bald. The most interesting aspect of the leak is the camera setup: according to the same report, the phone should cost less than the Pro models.

The standard Xiaomi 18 was not shown at the recent launch event alongside the Pro models. The new leak, in addition to the cameras, also describes the display, chip, and battery; however, this is still preliminary information, not officially announced specifications.

Both the main camera and the periscope are expected to have 200 megapixels

According to the leaker, the main camera is expected to use a 200MP 1/1.28-inch sensor. The second 200 megapixels are said to belong to the telephoto lens, with the periscope camera offering 3x optical zoom. A 50MP ultrawide camera is expected to complete the photographic setup.

Flat 6.4-inch display and 7,200 mAh battery

According to the leak, the phone is expected to feature a flat 6.4-inch OLED display with an M11 panel. Inside, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in the non-Extreme variant is anticipated. Those who prefer a flat screen therefore have another reason to follow the developments around the standard model.

The leaker further states a 7,200 mAh battery and 100W charging. Wireless charging is also expected.

Conversely, a secondary display on the back is not expected for the standard Xiaomi 18. If you don’t care for a second screen, its absence might not be an obstacle for you when choosing.

Reportedly in China in December. What about the Czech Republic?

The Panda is Bald expects the launch of Xiaomi 18 in China in December 2026. Notebookcheck also writes that it should be cheaper than the Pro phones. For those interested in photographic equipment without the premium of a higher-end model, this is a reason to wait for the specific price, not yet a ready recommendation to buy.
