Getting a fast Wi-Fi 6 router and an extender to boost the signal to every corner of your apartment usually means two separate expenses. However, Xiaomi has now combined both devices into one package, and it costs only 1,099 CZK in the brand’s e-shop – essentially the price of the router alone.

What can the Xiaomi Router AX3000T do?

The core of the package is a router with Wi-Fi 6 support and a combined speed on both bands of up to 3,000 Mb/s (574 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz and 2,402 Mb/s on 5 GHz). Inside, a dual-core 12nm MediaTek Filogic 820 chip with 256 MB of memory ticks, so according to the manufacturer, up to 128 devices can connect to the network simultaneously without lag. Coverage is handled by four high-gain antennas, and the device also supports mesh – you can connect it with other Xiaomi devices to form a single seamless network. NFC support is also handy: you can tap your phone to the router and connect to Wi-Fi without entering a password. Gigabit ports and IPTV support are also included.

Wi-Fi extender AX1500: signal to every corner of your apartment

The second half of the package consists of an extender that takes the signal from the router and sends it where the router itself cannot reach – to the bedroom, attic, or terrace. The extender also runs on Wi-Fi 6 and offers a combined speed of up to 1,500 Mb/s (1,201 Mb/s on 5 GHz and 300 Mb/s on 2.4 GHz).

It can operate in three modes – as an access point, a classic signal repeater, or a mesh network element – and thanks to the EasyMesh standard, it is compatible with routers from other brands. Setup is done via the Xiaomi Home app, and a light indicator helps you find the ideal place to plug in the device. A gigabit Ethernet port can be used for a TV or gaming console via cable.

And now for the main point. You can buy the entire package – both the router and the extender – in the official Czech Xiaomi e-shop for 1,099 CZK. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Router AX3000T alone costs roughly the same, around 1,099 CZK, for example, on Alza (but prices vary slightly among individual retailers).

The Wi-Fi extender AX1500 typically sells for around 779 CZK, and you can find it slightly cheaper on some e-shops. So, in the package, you are effectively getting it practically for free – you essentially pay only for the router, and Xiaomi throws in the extender. For anyone struggling with Wi-Fi dead spots at home, it’s hard to find a better price-to-performance ratio.
