Earlier this year, we informed you about the remarkable robotic vacuum cleaner Roborock Saros Z70, which garnered attention at CES 2025 with its robotic arm capable of picking up objects from the floor. We now have official confirmation that this technological marvel is also entering the Czech market. It is already available for a price of 47,999 CZK, making it one of the most expensive robotic assistants on offer.

Robotic arm like sci-fi from the future

Undoubtedly, the most interesting feature of the Saros Z70 is its OmniGrip robotic arm, which is housed within the vacuum cleaner’s ultra-thin design, measuring only 7.98 cm in height. The arm features five axes of movement, a camera, sensors, and LED lighting, allowing it to precisely identify and manipulate small objects such as socks, paper tissues, or shoes weighing up to 300 g.

Foreign reporters observing the robot at CES stated that object manipulation is relatively slow – moving a single sock reportedly took the robot about a minute. Even so, it can potentially save time, and from my perspective, as a technology editor, it is at least an interesting innovation. For users, it’s important to know that the arm’s functions are disabled by default and can be activated and customized according to individual needs in the Roborock app.

Top-tier performance and navigation

In addition to its futuristic arm, the Saros Z70 offers other impressive features. With a suction power of 22,000 Pa, it ranks among the most powerful robotic vacuum cleaners on the market. Precise navigation is handled by the StarSight 2.0 system, which combines dual 3D ToF sensors and AI-powered RGB cameras.

This navigation system can recognize up to 108 different objects and offers up to 21 times higher sampling frequency compared to traditional laser navigation. The vacuum cleaner is also equipped with VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance technology, which combines a front and wide vertical laser for effective cleaning even in hard-to-reach areas.

Multifunctional docking station with comprehensive care

Also included in the package is an advanced 10-in-1 multifunctional docking station, offering completely maintenance-free operation. The station provides automatic mop removal, fast battery charging in 2.5 hours, hot water mopping at 80 °C, dock self-cleaning, smart re-cleaning, automatic detergent dispensing, hot water tank refilling, automatic dust emptying, hot air drying of mops at 55 °C, and has a removable base.

The vacuum cleaner can operate for up to 180 minutes on a single charge, which is more than sufficient for thorough cleaning of even larger households. The plastic dustbin has a volume of 180 ml.

Artificial intelligence for customized cleaning

A major advantage of the Saros Z70 model is its AI-driven personalization. Users can define and label up to 50 custom objects in the app, significantly increasing the device’s flexibility. The Roborock app utilizes SmartPlan 2.0 technology, which automatically adjusts vacuuming route settings, suction power, and water volume based on environmental data and usage history.

Also noteworthy are features related to pets – through the camera in the OmniGrip arm, you can remotely check on your pets, or even plan rides for them. Pet recognition technology automatically stops the main brush and adjusts the direction of movement in time to avoid startling them.

Voice control and connectivity

The vacuum cleaner can be controlled via the voice command “Hello, Rocky!” and also supports voice assistants from Google and Amazon. Thanks to a future over-the-air update with the Matter 1.4 protocol, the Saros Z70 will also connect with other smart home systems, including Apple Home.

What do you think of a robotic vacuum cleaner with a robotic arm? Would you get one?
