Vivo X Fold 6 will offer a 200Mpx camera and a huge battery. Launch is a matter of days

Vivo is revealing card by card what it will hide in its new foldable – and according to the first parameters, it will be a real powerhouse. The manufacturer itself confirmed the main attractions around the camera and display, while the rest of the equipment is currently being supplemented by leaks a few days before the Chinese premiere, which we expect by the end of June.

Camera: 200 megapixels and a telephoto lens from ZEISS

The biggest attraction is clear. The main camera will be dominated by a 200-megapixel Samsung HPB sensor with a size of 1/1.4 inches and a lens with an aperture of f/1.68. Alongside it, the brand is preparing a periscopic telephoto lens with ZEISS APO certification and a Sony LYT-602 sensor, so the phone can handle distant details without chromatic aberrations. Those who want to extend the zoom even further can attach the optional ZEISS G2 teleconverter with a focal equivalent of up to 200 mm.

Display and performance: eight inches, 5000 nits, and new Dimensity

The inner display will grow to 8.02 inches and will use the new Samsung M14 emission material. The manufacturer promises a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits and a night mode that can dim the image to just 1 nit – in practice, this means readability in direct sunlight and gentler illumination in the dark. Performance will be handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip in a modified edition for foldables, making the Vivo X Fold 6 the very first foldable phone with this processor. This is also a turnaround – the previous X Fold 5 was still based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon.

Battery and charging: leaks promise a significant leap

Here we are already in the realm of leaks, so caution is advised. According to available information, a battery of around 6,900 mAh is expected to be inside, significantly more than the 6,000 mAh of its predecessor. Charging should handle 80 W wired and 40 W wirelessly, and there’s also talk of a cover display with a 6.53-inch diagonal and up to 16 GB of RAM.

When it arrives and what about the Czech Republic

The premiere is set for the end of June and is currently only targeting the Chinese market. Vivo has not announced the price or exact date.
