Vivo X500 Pro Review: We took 100 photos in Tenerife, and these are the results Home Articles Vivo introduced the X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max camera phones at the end of October The global premiere took place in Tenerife, and our editorial team was there After intensive testing, it's clear that the phone will appeal to both enthusiasts and amateurs Sdílejte: Adam Kurfürst Published: 5. 11. 2026 03:30 Vivo last week introduced the flagship camera phones X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max for markets outside China. The global premiere this time took place on the Spanish island of Tenerife, and the editorial team of Svět Androida website was there. During a multi-day trip for journalists and content creators, we thoroughly tested the photographic capabilities of both models, and now we present a gallery of a hundred selected photos taken with the more affordable Vivo X500 Pro. In the Czech Republic, it will go on sale on November 16 with a recommended price of 33,999 CZK. Powerful hardware, capable software. Ideal for enthusiasts and amateurs The Vivo X500 Pro is a flagship in its own right, but for most customers, the main reason to buy it will be its cameras. The Chinese company has once again partnered with the renowned German optics manufacturer ZEISS and delivers a top-tier sensor system assisted by highly capable software. The main trump card is none other than the 64Mpx ZEISS APO telephoto lens with a 1/2″ sensor and an 85mm focal length (equivalent to 3.5x zoom). Thanks to the Vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 teleconverter, which will be available from December, a focal length of 200 mm can be achieved. This allows you to take beautiful photos with 8.3x zoom without the phone resorting to digital cropping. Among the features, you will definitely appreciate the 50MP primary camera using a Sony Lytia LYT-910 sensor with LOFIC technology, which improves dynamic range in scenes with challenging lighting. The 50Mpx ultrawide sensor is also definitely worth mentioning, although you won’t see its results in the gallery below – among the three rear cameras, it is clearly the most uninteresting, and personally, I don’t like shooting with ultrawide. The Camera app also plays an important role, packed with practical features. I consider the choice of color style particularly crucial, as it will determine the overall tone of the captured photos. Personally, I most often used ZEISS Natural, which suited my preferences the most. By default, Vivid is set, with more pronounced and for many users, more pleasing colors. It’s important for everyone to find the one that suits them best. The combination of powerful hardware and impressive software capabilities benefits not only professionals, who can use manual focus or adjust exposure, ISO, and more in Landscape and Night modes, but also amateurs. Photo processing is top-notch and allows even beginners to take beautiful shots. So, if you’re just taking photos for fun but don’t actually know much about cameras, you’ll be satisfied with the results.
