Xiaomi 13T owners are among those who have watched the rollout of HyperOS 3 to various devices with increasing frustration in recent months. Meanwhile, many cheaper and even a generation older models have received the update based on Android 16, while the popular 13T remained stuck in the internal testing phase. But now, things are finally looking up.

New internal builds signal an impending release

The XimiTime server reported that fresh internal builds of the HyperOS 3 update for both sold variants of Xiaomi 13T appeared on May 15. The European EEA version is labeled OS3.0.1.0.WMFEUXM, while the global variant was captured under the number OS3.0.3.0.WMFMIXM. Both are based on Android 16 and, according to the editorial team, signal that the update is in the final preparation phase.

Xiaomi launched internal testing for the Xiaomi 13T about three months ago. However, during this time, the update got stuck in a kind of development limbo due to optimizations and stability fine-tuning, despite the fact that a significant portion of other supported devices received HyperOS 3 long ago. Meanwhile, Xiaomi is already internally working on HyperOS 3.3, XimiTime adds.

One of the key models fell behind

In discussion forums and comments under articles, users have been increasingly complaining in recent weeks that they are still waiting for the update. Some even point out that the same versions of internal builds were spotted already in April, which raises concerns about further delays.
