The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has expanded its portfolio of robotic vacuum cleaners with the Mijia Robot Vacuum 5C model, which stands out primarily for its high suction power. With a value of 15,000 Pa, it surpasses most competing models in the mid-price range. In China, the new product starts at a price of 2,199 yuan (approximately 6,500 CZK converted), with pre-sales beginning on September 1st.

Suction Power That Truly Surprises

The Mijia Robot Vacuum 5C boasts a suction power of 15,000 Pa, a value typically found only in premium models at twice the price. For comparison, most mid-range robotic vacuum cleaners offer power between 5,000 and 10,000 Pa. Xiaomi claims that the dirt removal efficiency reaches 99%, which is, however, a standard marketing claim from most manufacturers.

More interesting is the feature of dynamic mop adaptation to room edges. The mops automatically extend towards walls or furniture to clean hard-to-reach areas under cabinets or refrigerators. The mops rotate at high speed and simulate human hand movements when scrubbing the floor.

Wide-Angle Navigation

The robot uses a 129° wide-angle laser system for obstacle detection and space mapping. Thanks to the wider angle, it can better recognize low objects such as shoes or toys. The intelligent mop lifting system ensures that when crossing a carpet, the mop automatically lifts to prevent it from getting wet.

Two Versions for Different Needs

Xiaomi has prepared two variants of the vacuum cleaner. The basic version with a water tank will cost 2,199 yuan (approx. 6,500 CZK), while the more advanced variant with a connection to the water supply system costs 2,699 yuan (approx. 8,000 CZK). The second version eliminates the need to refill water and empty dirty water from the tank – everything works automatically via connection to the household plumbing.

In the Xiaomi Home app, you can set forbidden zones, schedule cleaning for individual rooms, or adjust mopping intensity according to the floor type. The robot also supports integration with the Xiaomi ecosystem – for example, you can set up automatic cleaning after leaving home, detected by a smart lock.

Availability Outside China Remains Unclear

The Mijia Robot Vacuum 5C is currently only available on the Chinese market, where pre-sales begin on September 1st. Xiaomi has not announced plans for a global launch.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi recently expanded its range of robotic vacuum cleaners in the Czech Republic. As we informed you, models Robot Vacuum S40C with laser navigation for 3,599 CZK and the more powerful Robot Vacuum H40 with a self-emptying station for 7,599 CZK went on sale. Both models offer a solid price-to-performance ratio, although they do not achieve the extreme suction power of the new 5C model.

Would you get a robotic vacuum cleaner with 15,000 Pa suction power?
