The new ceiling fan with light combines a fan with large blades and a full-spectrum LED light, whose colors are designed to appear as natural as daylight. You control it with an app, a remote control, and voice. Natural Color Rendering and Adjustable Temperature The main advantage is the lighting. The manufacturer has incorporated its own full-spectrum LED diodes, designed to mimic the spectrum of sunlight. Xiaomi states a color rendering index of Ra97 for them – a value at which colors in the room closely resemble how they look in daylight. The color temperature can be changed from warm 2,700 K to cool white 5,700 K, so you can adjust the lighting according to the time of day and your mood. Xiaomi promises an average illuminance of over 300 lux, uniform lighting, and no visible flickering; furthermore, the light received the lowest blue light risk class RG0 from the testing laboratory. What is a fan for, even in winter? The second half of the device is the fan itself. It is powered by a DC motor, which, according to the manufacturer, can handle a strong and stable airflow. More interestingly, the blades can rotate in both directions – in summer, they push air downwards and cool, while in winter, they rotate in reverse and dissipate warm air accumulated near the ceiling (the company recommends combining it with heating). Operation is designed to be quiet – lowest noise level around 23 dB, maximum below 50 dB, again according to manufacturer’s data. A sleep mode is available for night, which automatically adjusts the breeze strength so you can sleep through until morning. How much does it cost and will it arrive in the Czech Republic? The entire device runs within the Xiaomi HyperOS Connect ecosystem and the Xiaomi Home app, allowing you to connect it with other appliances and set up automations; it also responds to Google Assistant or Alexa. The blades retract with a single tap, which is useful off-season, and it handles 100–240 V power with a maximum input of 64 W. However, installation has a few conditions – the fan is only suitable for concrete ceilings with a load capacity of at least 60 kg and for rooms at least 2.6 meters high. Xiaomi has not yet announced the price or availability for the Czech market. The new product appeared on the brand’s global website, which usually means it will also be sold in European markets.
