Xiaomi's new air compressor has arrived in the Czech Republic. It's light, compact, and doesn't cost much

A few weeks ago, Xiaomi globally introduced the Mijia Compact Portable Electric Air Compressor, which impressed primarily with its low weight and compact dimensions. Now, the new product has appeared in the offer of the Czech authorized e-shop mistore.cz, where interested parties can purchase it for 999 CZK. According to the e-shop, the product is in stock and ready for immediate dispatch.

Half the weight of its predecessor

The main advantage of the new compressor is its weight of only 240 grams, which represents a 50% saving compared to the older Xiaomi Portable Electric Air Compressor 2 model. That one weighed 490 grams and is still sold on the Czech market at prices starting just under a thousand. The new generation thus fits practically anywhere – into a backpack, bike bag, or jacket pocket.

Inside the compact body is a brushless motor and an alloy cylinder that can handle pressure up to 150 psi. Xiaomi states a pressure measurement accuracy of ±1 psi, which should be sufficient for reliable inflation to the desired value. A practical feature is automatic shut-off when the set pressure is reached, so you don’t have to monitor the inflation.

Inflates a bike tire in a minute

The compressor is powered by a 2000mAh lithium-ion battery, which can inflate up to 8 completely flat bicycle tires (700×23C from 0 to 80 psi) on a full charge. If it’s just about topping up the pressure from 60 to 80 psi, the number rises to 23 tires. The compressor inflates a flat tire in approximately 60 seconds, while topping up the pressure takes about 20 seconds.

Xiaomi also mentions the possibility of emergency use for cars – it can inflate a 205/55 R16 tire from 2.0 to 2.5 bar in 105 seconds. For regular use, however, the compressor is primarily intended for motorcycles, e-bikes, bicycles, electric scooters, and balls.

Five modes and LED light

The Mijia Compact Portable Electric Air Compressor offers five preset modes: for motorcycles and e-bikes (2.4 bar), bicycles (45 psi), electric scooters (50 psi), balls (8 psi), and a custom mode with a range of 0.2–10.3 bar. In each mode, values can be adjusted as needed, and the compressor automatically remembers the last setting.

It also features a built-in LED light with two modes – constant illumination for night inflation and SOS flashing for emergencies. The package includes adapters for three types of valves: Schrader (cars, mountain bikes, e-bikes), Presta (road bikes), and a needle adapter for balls. Also included is a storage case with a hidden pocket for accessories.
