The manufacturer has included the new product in the Mijia series and opted for Bluetooth Mesh connectivity – allowing it to work with other bulbs at home without burdening the Wi-Fi network. What will the new Xiaomi smart bulb offer? In terms of design, the bulb relies on simplicity and a standard E27 base, so it fits most common sockets. According to the manufacturer, the luminous surface is made of PC material with a high refractive index, which is intended to disperse light more evenly and suppress sharp overexposed spots. The manufacturer rates the bulb at 500 lumens, which is sufficient for illuminating a small to medium-sized room. More interesting is the ability to smoothly adjust the white light temperature in the range of 2700 to 6500 K – from warm yellow for the evening to cool white when you need to see clearly. The temperature range itself remains the same as the original Mijia LED Bluetooth Mesh version, which the brand introduced back in 2020. The main novelty this time is a more energy-efficient LED chip, which is designed to achieve the same performance with lower power consumption. Bluetooth Mesh connects more bulbs even without Wi-Fi As the name suggests, Bluetooth Mesh is the main draw. Thanks to it, you can connect and control multiple bulbs simultaneously without burdening your home Wi-Fi. This means the bulbs don’t consume router capacity, and according to the manufacturer, the connection remains stable even when Wi-Fi is experiencing issues. If you have a compatible gateway at home, you’ll unlock voice control for brightness, timers, and scheduled on/off, which forms the basis for smart home automation scenarios. Price and availability The brand offered the bulb on the Chinese e-shop JD.com for 29.9 yuan, which translates to less than a hundred Czech crowns (approximately 90 crowns). For this price, it’s one of the cheapest ways to start building smart lighting at home. The catch is availability: the new product is currently only heading to the Chinese market, and the manufacturer has not stated when or if it will arrive in the Czech Republic.
