Xiaomi's smart washing machine is coming to the Czech Republic for the first time. It automatically dispenses fabric softener, connects to your phone, and even dries your clothes

Xiaomi continues its expansion into the large home appliance segment. At yesterday’s conference in Munich, it officially announced the arrival of its first washer-dryer, the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 9kg, to the Czech market. The popular smartphone manufacturer thus confirms its previously announced plan to expand its portfolio of large home appliances beyond China.

Slim Design and Exceptional Energy Efficiency

The Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 9kg impresses with its slim design, with a depth of just 570 mm, making it easy to integrate into a kitchen counter or bathroom. Despite its compact dimensions, it features an extra-large drum with a diameter of 525 mm, providing ample space for efficient washing.

A significant advantage of the new appliance is its energy efficiency, which is 25% better than the minimum required for energy class A according to EU regulation 2019/2014. This data has been verified by the certification company TÜV SÜD. In an era of rising energy prices, this is a significant benefit for every household.

Smart Features for Fast and Efficient Washing

Xiaomi’s washer-dryer offers several innovative technologies that simplify daily laundry care. The Dual Auto Dosing system automatically dispenses detergent and fabric softener according to the load weight, ensuring optimal cleaning with minimal chemical consumption. One reservoir refill is sufficient for up to a month of normal use.

Smart Infusion technology, with pre-mixing of detergent and high-pressure direct injection into the drum, allows normal washing in the Smart Wash program to be completed in just 36 minutes. For lightly soiled laundry, there’s the Quick Wash function, which completes a wash cycle in a record 12 minutes. The combined wash and dry cycle for 3 kg of laundry takes 180 minutes.

Other interesting features include steam washing, which eliminates up to 99.99% of bacteria, Refresh care mode for refreshing clothes with steam, and Aromatherapy wash for scented laundry. If you forget to remove laundry after the program ends, the Refresh & Loosen function activates, automatically rotating the drum to keep clothes fresh and odor-free.

Intelligent Drying and Self-Cleaning Technology

The dryer uses 3D drying technology and features Smart Dry Control, which uses precise sensors to automatically stop drying once the laundry is dry. This prevents fabric damage from over-drying and saves energy. The gentle drying mode maintains a temperature between 55 °C and 65 °C, which is ideal for delicate materials.

The appliance is equipped with a comprehensive self-cleaning system, which includes automatic flushing of the detergent dispenser, cleaning of fan blades with high-pressure water, flushing of the drying duct, and high-temperature drum cleaning. These functions minimize maintenance and extend the appliance’s lifespan.

Control via Xiaomi Home and Modern Touch Panel

You can conveniently control the washing machine remotely using the Xiaomi Home app. The app allows you to schedule washes, adjust settings, or use an AI function that recommends a suitable program based on your habits. Thanks to OTA update support, the appliance will gain new features and improvements even after purchase.

The washing machine’s control panel is inspired by the concept of a gravitational field and offers intuitive touch control with multi-language support. For its elegant design, the Mijia washing machine received the German iF Design Award. The Direct Drive motor ensures quiet operation and gentle handling of clothes. Xiaomi provides an extended 12-year warranty on the motor.

Xiaomi has not yet announced the exact price and launch date of the Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer Pro 9kg on the Czech market. It only stated that it would happen later this year.
