Xiaomi to bring smart air conditioners to Czechia for the first time. They attract with low consumption and fast cooling/heating

Chinese technology giant Xiaomi is expanding its portfolio of smart home appliances in Czechia with a new product category. For the first time, it is bringing its air conditioners to our market, specifically the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco models in two performance variants. The new products are characterized by high energy efficiency, a multitude of smart features, and easy integration into the Xiaomi Home ecosystem.

Two variants for different room sizes

Xiaomi is introducing the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco in two power versions. The model designated 2.6 kW is designed for rooms measuring 10-20 m², while the more powerful 3.5 kW variant is suitable for spaces ranging from 15-25 m². Both units feature a full DC inverter system with an electronic expansion valve, which offers higher energy efficiency, better stability, and longer lifespan compared to conventional solutions.

For fast and efficient air circulation, the air conditioners are equipped with a 108mm cross-flow fan with an above-standard diameter, ensuring strong airflow with minimal noise. The design of the units is minimalist with smooth rounded edges, making them suitable for virtually any interior.

Top energy efficiency with the help of artificial intelligence

The main advantage of the new air conditioners is extremely low energy consumption. Both models achieve energy class A+++ certification for both cooling and heating in warmer regions of Europe, and A++ for heating in average climatic zones. This brings significant savings on electricity bills, especially during hot summer months.

The Mijia AI Energy Saving mode significantly contributes to high efficiency, using cloud-based artificial intelligence to optimize energy consumption without compromising cooling performance. According to Xiaomi’s internal tests, this system can increase energy efficiency by up to 27% compared to operation without AI optimization. Artificial intelligence continuously adjusts parameters for rapid temperature regulation, limit value control, and even vibration reduction.

Thanks to the Xiaomi Home app, users can monitor energy consumption in real-time and gain useful information for further efficiency optimization. Furthermore, the system automatically evaluates room size and adjusts operation for an ideal balance between performance and energy demand.

Fast cooling and comfortable airflow

According to the manufacturer’s materials, the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco boasts ultra-fast cooling and heating. The units can start cooling in just 30 seconds and heating in 60 seconds, providing an immediate sense of comfort without long waiting. For maximum effective cooling, the Turbo mode can be activated, which immediately increases airflow to the maximum.

To prevent unpleasant drafts, the air conditioners are equipped with 14 directional flaps and 602 circular micro-perforations, which break down the cold air stream into a finer flow. This solution reduces air velocity and eliminates the uncomfortable feeling of direct contact with the cold air stream.

Personalization and smart features

Xiaomi has implemented the Personalize via AI function into its air conditioners, which is activated with a single tap in favorite mode. This system automatically adjusts settings based on your location, current weather, and personal habits. The air conditioner gradually learns your preferences and adapts its operation to create the most comfortable environment possible.

For peaceful sleep, a special night mode is available with quiet operation and a built-in light sensor that automatically dims the display. In sleep mode, the air conditioner intelligently adjusts temperature, airflow, brightness, and noise levels. Users can customize this mode according to their own preferences.

Other smart features include Smart anti-condensation, which adjusts temperature and humidity based on meteorological data to prevent water dripping from the air outlet. The Smart pre-heating function, on the other hand, ensures the unit is pre-heated before starting the heating mode to prevent unpleasant cold air blowing at the beginning of operation.

Easy integration into the smart home

The air conditioners can be controlled remotely using the Xiaomi Home app, allowing users to set temperature, modes, or a timer from anywhere. Voice control via Google Assistant is also supported, so you can change settings with voice commands.

For smart home enthusiasts, Xiaomi offers the option of connecting with other Xiaomi Home devices, allowing experimentation with various settings and the creation of complex automations. The air conditioners connect via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (5GHz networks are not supported) and, thanks to OTA updates, always remain current in terms of features and security.

Smart maintenance for long lifespan

The manufacturer also considered easy maintenance. The air conditioners are equipped with a high-temperature automatic cleaning function, which first removes dust from the surface of the internal heat exchanger, then dries it at a high temperature (56°C) to eliminate bacteria, and finally uses condensation to flush the exchanger fins. The entire process occurs automatically without the need for manual intervention.

The air conditioners also automatically alert users to the need for filter cleaning when they are dirty or clogged, ensuring the device can continue to operate efficiently. Furthermore, filters with antimicrobial and anti-mold treatment are easily removable, which greatly simplifies their maintenance.

Availability and price

Xiaomi has not yet officially confirmed exactly when and at what price the Mijia Air Conditioner Pro Eco will arrive on the Czech market. In a press release, it only stated that they will arrive later this year.
