On a trip, you want to capture footage, but not constantly have your phone in front of your face. The DJI Osmo Nano is interesting precisely for such moments: you magnetically attach the tiny camera to your clothes or cap and film from your own perspective. The body itself weighs only 52 grams. Alza is now selling the 64GB Standard Combo for 6,399 CZK, so for less than six and a half thousand, you get both the camera and the base with a display and mounts.

Quick summary:
✅ Makes sense for: Trips, cooking, or creating, when you want to capture the action and have both hands free.
⚠️ Consider: Out of 64 GB, 48 GB is usable, and recording is not directly to the card in the base.
💡 The price of 6,399 CZK is valid without a coupon; compared to the same set at FotoŠkoda, you save 1,591 CZK.

Camera on your T-shirt, display in your hand

The Nano consists of two separable parts. The small camera stays on the mount, while the Vision Dock with a 1.96-inch display serves for control and preview. When preparing food, repairing a bike, or assembling a computer, you can show what you’re doing without a second person behind the camera. The package includes both a magnetic lanyard and a cap clip; you don’t have to immediately look for basic mounts separately.

Inside is a 1/1.3-inch sensor and a wide 143° lens. Regular video can handle 4K at 60 frames per second, slow-motion footage up to 4K/120 fps. RockSteady electronic stabilization is suitable for walking. However, stabilization does not work in slow-motion video mode, so both data cannot be taken as one simultaneously available combination.

You use the card for export, not direct recording

Recording is stored in the built-in memory. For this 64GB variant, 48 GB remains for files, so longer shooting will require continuous emptying of the storage. A MicroSD card can be inserted into the base, and recorded videos can be moved to it. However, this is not continuous recording directly to the card. DJI Mimo is also used for transfer to a phone.

Also, be careful with water: the camera itself has a declared water resistance of up to 10 meters, the assembly with the dock is only IPX4 against splashing water. So, do not take the base underwater. Furthermore, the manufacturer does not recommend long underwater shooting or strong water pressure.

What would you film with such a small camera?
