A clear plan for the evening: Mafia: The Old Country received the Man of Honor expansion, with Czech dubbing and for 210 crowns

A year after its release, Mafia: The Old Country returns to the scene. Studio Hangar 13, which has Czech branches, is releasing the paid story expansion Man of Honor today — and its main character is none other than a young Ennio Salieri. That is, the man older players know as the main antagonist of Mafia from 2002.

The story takes place in the winter of 1905. Enzo Favara is already a seasoned soldier of the Torrisi family at that time and receives a delicate task: to help Salieri, who has just returned from prison and intends to reclaim what he lost in the underworld of Valle Dorata. The expansion thus fills the gap between The Old Country and the original Mafia and shows the future don at a time when he was just building his smuggling network.

The story part has two chapters. Those who finished the game and put it aside now have a pretty concrete reason to return.

Free Ride gets challenges and contracts

The second half of the content is aimed at the Free Ride mode, which the game received for free last November. In Salieri’s new warehouse in Porto Almaro, players will pick up two layers of content: Salieri’s Challenges increase the difficulty of existing encounters, races, and silent eliminations, while Salieri’s Contracts are more open-ended missions — finding stashes, towing vintage cars, or transporting fragile cargo.

New collectibles are added to the map, including wanted posters for outlaws or rival sulfur trucks that can be sabotaged. Rewards include five hats, three suits, three vehicles, two horses, and new weapons, including a throwing knife that ricochets between targets.

Sales exceeded internal expectations

Head of Hangar 13’s Czech branches, Roman Hladík, told ČTK that The Old Country performed better than the studio expected. Analytical servers estimate 470,000 to 740,000 copies sold on Steam alone; console figures are not known.

And then there’s the reason why this brand holds a privileged position in our country: full Czech localization, including dubbing. Enzo was voiced by Oskar Hes, Cesare by Ondřej Kokorský, Luca by Martin Donutil. The Man of Honor expansion adopts Czech — both subtitles and voiced dialogues.
