Acer targets productivity: New Iconia Duo tablets will offer up to 14\" OLED and monitor mode

Acer may never have been among the most prominent manufacturers of Android tablets, but it has been involved in this sector for a long time. The newly introduced pieces at Computex 2026 suggest that the manufacturer might be taking this sector more seriously than ever before. Among the three new products is, for example, a tablet with a 14″ OLED screen or its slightly smaller 12.2″ sibling.

A tablet with a 14″ OLED screen? Bring it on!

We must start with the largest and, from our perspective, most interesting new product. This is the Acer Iconia Duo S14 tablet. The tablet is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 8300 – an older but still solidly powerful upper-mid-range chipset. It is complemented by 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of unspecified UFS storage. Like all other new products, the Acer Iconia Duo S14 also runs on the Android 16 operating system.

This is a tablet with a 14″ OLED screen and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The resolution is a beautiful 2.8k, and the refresh rate reaches 120 Hz. It’s a shame about the lower brightness of 400 nits, which means it won’t be an ideal device for working outdoors in the sun. What is very interesting, however, is the presence of two USB-C ports and support for DisplayPort output as well as input. This allows the tablet to be easily used as an external monitor for a laptop, for example, when traveling.

A quartet of speakers should provide solid audio output, and the 10,000mAh battery will ensure up to 10 hours of active use on a single charge. The weight here is 730 grams. To ensure high productivity, the manufacturer will also offer a detachable keyboard, a magnetically attachable kickstand, and an active stylus.

Two smaller siblings

The main star will be accompanied by two smaller siblings. The more equipped Acer Iconia Duo S12 will also offer an OLED panel, but with a size of 12.2″. The aspect ratio remains 3:2. Performance is provided by the mid-range chip Mediatek Dimensity 7400, also supported by 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of storage. A keyboard, kickstand, and stylus will also be available as optional accessories.

The cheapest of the three new products, the Acer Iconia Duo D12 tablet, will also offer a 12.2″ screen, but here it is an IPS panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1600 px. Performance is handled by the Helio G99 with 8GB LPDDR4 RAM, which suggests that it will be a device aimed more at less demanding customers. Even so, there is still the option to purchase a keyboard, kickstand, and even an active stylus, which is not often seen among budget models.
