Want to try a mechanical keyboard but don’t want to spend a fortune? The white version of Rapture X-RAY now costs 693 Kč with code ALZADNY30 instead of 990 Kč. For a few hundred crowns, you get full size, Czech layout, and RGB – features that cost significantly more elsewhere.

Quick summary:
Makes sense if you want an affordable entry into mechanical keyboards with Czech layout, numpad, and RGB – and you don’t mind the clicky sound, or you actively seek it.
⚠️ Consider that Outemu Blue switches are quite loud, so they are not ideal for late-night gaming or shared rooms. There is no software – everything is controlled via keyboard shortcuts.
💡 At 693 Kč with code ALZADNY30, it’s one of the cheapest mechanical keyboards with CZ layout on the market.

What you get for a few hundred crowns

Let’s start with the good. The keyboard is full-size with 104 keys, including a numeric keypad, which many mechanical keyboards omit today, and has a complete Czech and Slovak layout – also a rarity for mechanical keyboards. Under the keys are Outemu Blue mechanical clicky switches (actuation force 60 gf, travel 2.2 mm, lifespan 50 million keystrokes). The keycaps are Double Shot, so the legends won’t wear off, and RGB shines through them nicely. The backlighting offers 18 effects, which you can switch via FN and L1 to L6, and the saved settings and brightness are retained even after disconnecting from the computer. No driver is needed – it works with Plug & Play, you just plug it into USB and play. It also features Anti-Ghosting and N-Key Rollover for all keys, a Windows key lock, a 1.8 m braided cable, and a three-year warranty.

What to consider

A few things upfront. The vast majority of reviews revolve around one thing: loudness. Outemu Blue are clicky switches and they really click a lot – some people compare the sound to a typewriter. Some people absolutely love it, but not everyone might share that enthusiasm next to a sleeping partner or in an open-plan office. If you want quieter operation, there is an identical keyboard with linear Outemu Red switches.

For an affordable entry into the world of mechanical keyboards with Czech layout and numpad, it’s a clear buy at 693 Kč, confirmed by satisfied customers. Just be aware of the noise due to the clicky switches – or go straight for the quieter Red version.

Clicky switches – the sound of freedom, or unbearable clatter?
